Training on the National Target Program on New Rural Development and Sustainable Poverty Reduction

On October 9, the Provincial Farmers' Association coordinated with the Institute for Training, Development of Officials and Scientific Research to organize the opening of a training course on the National Target Program on New Rural Development and Sustainable Poverty Reduction. The training course was attended by 200 trainees who are branch heads and vice-chairmen of branches of 11 communes: Chieng An, Chieng Sinh, Chieng Coi, Mai Son, Chieng Mung, Chieng Mai, Muong La, Muong Bu, Thuan Chau, Muoi Noi, Chieng La.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the trainees were trained by lecturers from the Institute of Training, Fostering Cadres and Scientific Research, Dien Bien Pedagogical College, former leaders of the New Rural Magazine and the School of Training and Fostering Cadres of the Vietnam Farmers' Association : Raising awareness of digital transformation and supporting farmers to start innovative businesses; developing collective and private economies in agriculture; guiding the organization and operation of professional farmer associations and professional farmer groups; supporting farmers in production and business according to the agricultural value chain and building OCOP products.

For the sustainable poverty reduction program, trainees are trained in the following contents: Developing collective and private economies in agriculture; science and technology, innovation in agriculture, farmers and rural areas; supporting the reduction of shortages of basic social services for farmers; improving capacity and skills in inspection and supervision for officials participating in the National target program on sustainable poverty reduction.

The training course took place over 3 days (from October 9 to 11) to help improve knowledge and skills in implementing the new rural program, support farmers in starting innovative businesses, production and business according to the value chain and improve the capacity to do sustainable poverty reduction for the team of branch presidents and deputy branch presidents of farmer branches.
