Medical examination and treatment in these localities have been actively deployed to provide timely emergency treatment and stabilization for most of the victims. In particular, Dien Bien Provincial General Hospital is currently providing emergency treatment for 3 victims, including 1 child patient diagnosed with grade 3 liver rupture.
Faced with the above situation, Dr. Ha Anh Duc, Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health requested the Directors of the Departments of Health of Dien Bien province and the mountainous and midland provinces of the North to continue to urgently focus on human resources and expertise to treat patients, coordinate with hospitals and leading experts to consult and promptly treat the victims.
In cases beyond the hospital's professional capacity, the patient must be promptly transferred to a hospital with higher professional level or specialized level to ensure the best care and treatment conditions for the victims.
At the same time, coordinate with relevant agencies in overcoming the consequences of landslides and flash floods; organize readiness to receive patients and victims in the context of complicated weather forecasts; pay attention to health care and psychological stability for accident victims.
In addition, continue to monitor and promptly report on the progress of rescue work for victims and make recommendations to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health .
On August 1, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch No. 125/CD-TTg on urgently overcoming the consequences of floods in Dien Bien province and focusing on responding to landslides and flash floods in the mountainous and midland provinces of the North.
