On the morning of February 27, the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decisions to merge the Party organizations of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment into the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the decisions to appoint and promote cadres. Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the conference and presented the decisions.
At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee announced the Decision on merging the Party Committee of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Party Committee of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment into the Party Committee of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; at the same time, announced the Decision of the Provincial Party Committee on appointing the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Agriculture and Environment for the 2020-2025 term. The Party Executive Committee of the Department of Agriculture and Environment consists of 18 comrades; Comrade Nguyen Van Chien was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee presented the decision to the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
The conference also announced the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee on the assignment and appointment of officials; accordingly, comrade Nguyen Van Chien, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, holds the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; the Deputy Directors of the Department of Agriculture and Environment include: Nguyen Van Truong, Nguyen Duy Chinh, Vu Manh Thia, Do Quy Phuong.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the merger of the two departments is an important step in the process of innovation and consolidation of the province's administrative apparatus in the spirit of innovation, streamlining, effective and efficient operations, in line with the requirements of sustainable development in the coming period. Agriculture, natural resources and environment are two important areas, contributing greatly to the socio -economic development of the province.
The merger of the two departments will create a synchronous and unified coordination, helping to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the fields of land, water resources, climate, forest protection, ecological environment and sustainable agricultural production. Therefore, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to quickly stabilize the organization, arrange reasonable personnel, promote the spirit of solidarity and creativity, and complete assigned tasks well; the new apparatus must be put into operation from March 1, 2025. Closely coordinate with departments, branches and localities to concretize the province's policies and guidelines to resolutely and effectively implement key political tasks in 2025. Develop appropriate programs and action plans, apply science and technology to agricultural production, environmental protection, and adapt to climate change. Manage and effectively use natural resources for socio-economic development. Promote administrative reform, improve the effectiveness of state management, strengthen administrative discipline and order, create a favorable environment for businesses and people to develop production and business.
