Thai Nguyen opens 2025 tourist season

Also attending were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Tourism Associations of provinces and cities: Bac Giang, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Ha Giang, Phu Tho, Hoa Binh, Yen Bai, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: Along with its strength in industrial development, Thai Nguyen province is also a land rich in tourism potential, with all the favorable conditions to develop many types of services, sophisticated, unique and classy tourism products to attract domestic and foreign tourists. Currently, the province has over 1,000 inventoried relics; more than 500 intangible cultural heritages have been counted.

In recent years, Thai Nguyen has focused on developing high-quality resort tourism products, especially the first 6-star international resort in the North, which is being actively built in the Nui Coc lake area; the two projects of Glory golf course and Tan Thai golf course will come into operation in 2025, certainly becoming attractive highlights for tourists, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

Thai Nguyen is also focusing on building 4 tourism product lines associated with tea culture including: Cultural, spiritual, historical, and origin tourism; Ecological and resort tourism; Community and rural tourism; MICE tourism, sports, and adventure cave exploration.

In order for tourism to become an important industry, contributing effectively to economic growth, Thai Nguyen province has actively developed specific action plans and programs to accelerate tourism development with the motto: "Unique products - professional services - Convenient and simple procedures - Competitive prices - Clean and beautiful environment - Safe, civilized and friendly destinations".

The 2025 tourist season takes place with a series of attractive activities: Exchange and experience at Glory golf course (Pho Yen city); operating the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen tourist boat; displaying beautiful photos of culture, sports, and tourism; space to introduce tourism products, "Quintessence of Thai Nguyen cuisine" - performing intangible culture; the 2nd Bat Kiet, Bat Tien - Thai Nguyen Tea Fragrance Chess Tournament; hot air balloon performance; displaying ornamental plants; Famtrip delegation surveying tourist destinations.

Previously, national tournaments took place, including: Yoga Club Championship; Traditional Martial Arts; Vietnam - Korea Martial Arts Exchange; Traditional Boat Racing and Stand-up Paddle Boarding.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded the decision to recognize two provincial-level tourist destinations: Hao Huc Village, Phuc Tan Commune (Pho Yen City); Suoi Coc Homestay, Phuc Triu Commune (Thai Nguyen City).

The opening ceremony with the theme “Experience the land of Tea, imbued with its identity” included impressive and attractive cultural, artistic, ao dai and sports performances with the participation of artists, actors and martial artists from Hanoi and Thai Nguyen, with vibrant dances, songs and traditional Vietnamese martial arts performances. Thereby introducing the typical cultural, tourism and sports images of Thai Nguyen to domestic and international friends.

The program left a deep impression, opening a vibrant tourist season in the "land of Steel, land of Tea" Thai Nguyen.
