The technical training course in La Bang tea area (Dai Tu, Thai Nguyen) was organized by the Digital Media Training and Development Center last June, under the chairmanship of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thai Nguyen province, with the support of CHAGEE Vietnam Company Limited.

The program revolves around 5 practical topics: experience in planting - caring - processing tea from CHAGEE experts; labor safety instructions; analysis of the potential of Thai Nguyen tea region; application of e-commerce on TikTok platform; practice of content creation and online sales.

Mr. Luong Cong Luan – Vice Chairman of La Bang Commune People’s Committee emphasized that the training program marked an important step forward in the modernization of the province’s tea industry. This is not only an opportunity to access new knowledge but also to improve the competitiveness of people in the digital age.

During the training, farmers not only listened to the theory but also directly practiced filming product videos , creating promotional clips, creating online booths, and writing content telling stories about Thai tea in a familiar way, suitable for people who are not yet familiar with technology.

Mr. Luong Cong Luan - Vice Chairman of La Bang Commune People's Committee.

“CHAGEE's support helps build a sustainable tea value chain for Thai Nguyen, improve quality and create a foundation to confidently enter the e-commerce era,” said Mr. Son Ha, a training expert.

The journey to creating a cup of delicious tea begins with the grower. Experts at the course brought practical experience from China – a country with a long-standing tea culture – including growing techniques, quality control, environmental protection and lessons from famous regions such as Anxi and Pu’er.

The program also places special emphasis on labor safety and food hygiene in production, helping people identify risks and build a supply chain that is responsible to the community.

From the pioneering pilot model of La Bang Tea Cooperative in cooperation with CHAGEE, many units in the industry are now wanting to learn and follow. This cooperative has applied VietGAP since 2012 and boldly shifted to organic farming, not only absorbing technology but also proactively creating added value, aiming for sustainable development.

Nearly 200 farmers, young entrepreneurs, cooperatives and businesses participated in the training.

The training course has opened up a new perspective for tea makers – not only production, but also storytelling, image building and online sales. Daily tasks such as tea picking, tea drying, and tea tasting have now become attractive content on digital platforms.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Du - owner of Du Son tea establishment happily said: "Now I have learned how to put tea online, something we have never done before, to expand the market nationwide."

Impressed by the way the expert instructed on how to record short clips that kept the simplicity and attached reasonable sales links, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (27 years old, Dai Tu) - a young entrepreneur excitedly shared: "After finishing this training course, I can do it right away."

Even Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (58 years old), despite her age, still actively participates and finds new directions for the tea business. Experts help her realize her own strengths - which are the experience and authentic images of the locality, which are very attractive to online customers from afar.
