The highest fee for visiting Nha Trang Bay is 40,000 VND per person.

(NLDO) - The Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council has just passed a resolution on entrance fees to scenic spots in Nha Trang Bay, ranging from 6,000 to 40,000 VND per person.

Accordingly, the fee applies to tourists traveling by inland waterway in the sea and islands within the boundaries of Nha Trang Bay (outside the strictly protected zone).

The fee (excluding accident insurance) will be calculated based on the tour route. Specifically, the fee for the one-island tour to Hon Mieu (Tri Nguyen) is 6,000 VND.

The toll for routes to Hon Tam Island (2 islands), Hon Tre Island (Vinpearl), and Hon Mot Island (4 islands) is a common rate of 8,000 VND.

The fee for the 5-route tour to Hon Mun Island (a strictly protected area) is 10,000 VND. If tourists choose a combined tour, the fee will be 40,000 VND per trip.

New fees will apply to inland waterway vessels touring Nha Trang Bay.

The resolution also stipulates that the fee-collecting agency is allowed to retain 80% of the total fees collected to cover its administrative expenses, and remit the remaining 20% ​​to the state budget.

The fee collection agency is the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, under the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province.

According to Mr. Dam Hai Van, Head of the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, having specific regulations for visiting Nha Trang Bay will solve many problems. This will provide a sustainable source of funding for marine conservation, environmental protection, and management.

The new regulations also provide exemptions and reductions for many groups, such as: children under 6 years old, people with disabilities, officials assigned to work in Nha Trang Bay, tour guides working at tourist destinations on the islands in Nha Trang Bay, people with meritorious service to the revolution, veteran revolutionary cadres, people over 60 years old, etc.

Many other groups also receive a 50% reduction in fees, including: children aged 6 to under 16; students from universities, colleges, vocational schools, high schools, middle schools, and primary schools participating in field trips organized by their schools; and impoverished households...
