According to Than Thuy Ha, what excites her about acting is the opportunity to embody many different types of characters, especially those with complex psychological depth or edgy personalities. She believes this is also a way for actors to reinvent themselves after many years in the arts.
Than Thuy Ha prioritizes roles that are suitable and worth the price.
Besides television, Than Thuy Ha said she still receives many offers to participate in feature films. However, the actress doesn't place much importance on distinguishing between television and film; the most important thing is the quality of the role.
"I'll accept any film offer if I feel the role suits me and the character is interesting. I don't differentiate between television or film," the actress shared.
According to the actress, feature films have specific requirements for character portrayal due to their shorter duration compared to television. However, she believes that without a television environment, it would be difficult for actors to accumulate enough experience to transition to film.
Than Thuy Ha also frankly shared that the fee is a factor she considers when accepting a project because it's her job to earn a living and take care of her family. "I believe this is a job to earn money and provide for my family, so it has to be the right price for me to accept it. If the price isn't right, even if it's the lead role in a movie, I won't accept it," she revealed.

Sharing more with us, the actress said that what worried her wasn't the gossip itself, but the audience misunderstanding the issue. "I'm just afraid the audience will misunderstand and think I'm claiming to have such a large fortune. As for me, after more than 30 years in the profession, rumors are just normal," she said.
The actress, born in the 1970s, said she doesn't let false information affect her life too much. According to her, today's audience is discerning and aware enough to distinguish accurate information from falsehoods.
"No artist is immune to rumors. What matters is how the audience perceives and believes what is true and what is false," Than Thuy Ha expressed.
Besides discussing her career, the actress also shared her views on the recent trend of beauty queens and models venturing into acting. According to her, the important thing isn't the starting point, but the attitude towards the profession.
When mentioning Miss Xuan Hanh - who played the daughter of Than Thuy Ha in the film "The Heir Without a Title" - the actress praised her junior's eagerness to learn. "Hanh is very intelligent, hardworking, and not afraid of challenges. Hanh doesn't bring her title of beauty queen onto the film set," the actress commented about Miss Xuan Hanh.
Having transitioned from modeling to acting herself, Than Thuy Ha understands the pressures faced by newcomers entering the film industry. Therefore, she is always ready to share her experience with young people if they are truly serious about the profession.
