April 2025: Total import and export value of goods...

According to the General Department of Customs (Ministry of Finance), in April 2025, the total value of import and export of goods nationwide reached 74.31 billion USD, down 1.4% (equivalent to a decrease of 1.06 billion USD) compared to the previous month. Of which, the export value reached 37.44 billion USD, down 2.8% (equivalent to a decrease of 1.06 billion USD) and the import value reached 36.87 billion USD, equivalent to the value of the previous month.

In the first 4 months of 2025, the total import-export value of the whole country reached 276.89 billion USD, an increase of 15.7% (equivalent to an increase of 37.51 billion USD) over the same period last year. Of which, the export value reached 140.34 billion USD, an increase of 13% (equivalent to an increase of 16.12 billion USD) and the import value reached 136.55 billion USD, an increase of 18.6% (equivalent to an increase of 21.39 billion USD).

Vietnam's trade balance of goods in April 2025 had a surplus of 0.57 billion USD. In the first 4 months of 2025, the trade surplus of goods was 3.8 billion USD, down 58.2% compared to the surplus of 9.05 billion USD in the same period last year.

The import-export value of FDI enterprises in the first 4 months of 2025 reached 184.38 billion USD, up 14% (equivalent to an increase of 22.63 billion USD) over the same period last year. Of which, the export value reached 99.09 billion USD, up 11.4% and the import value was 85.29 billion USD, up 17.1%.

Imports and exports of domestic enterprises increased by 19.2% over the same period last year (5.2 percentage points higher than the growth rate of FDI enterprises) with a value of 92.51 billion USD (equivalent to an increase of 14.89 billion USD). Exports of this enterprise sector reached 41.25 billion USD, up 16.8% and imports were 51.26 billion USD, up 21.1% over the same period last year.

Vietnam's 10 largest export markets in the first 4 months of 2025: The United States reached 43.41 billion USD; EU (27 countries) reached 18.44 billion USD; China reached 18.1 billion USD; ASEAN reached 12.42 billion USD; South Korea reached 8.98 billion USD; Japan reached 8.47 billion USD; Hong Kong (China) was 4.56 billion USD; India was 3.30 billion USD; Taiwan (China) was 2.14 billion USD; Australia was 2.12 billion USD.

Vietnam's 10 largest import markets in the first 4 months of 2025: China reached 53.16 billion USD; South Korea reached 18.48 billion USD; ASEAN reached 17.87 billion USD; Taiwan (China) reached 9.31 billion USD; Japan reached 7.79 billion USD; the United States reached 5.67 billion USD; EU (27 countries) reached 5.11 billion USD; Australia reached 2.44 billion USD; Kuwait reached 2.40 billion USD; Brazil reached 1.89 billion USD.

Of the total 53.16 billion USD imported from the Chinese market, imports of computers, electronic products and components reached 14.38 billion USD, up 42.6% (equivalent to an increase of 4.29 billion USD); machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reached 11 billion USD, up 35.7% (equivalent to an increase of 2.89 billion USD); fabrics of all kinds reached 3.31 billion USD, up 11.3% (equivalent to an increase of 337 million USD); phones of all kinds and components reached 3.04 billion USD, up 14.5% (equivalent to an increase of 384 million USD); iron and steel of all kinds reached 1.87 billion USD, down 20.4% (equivalent to a decrease of 481 million USD) compared to the same period last year...
