Speaking at the post-match press conference, coach Le Huynh Duc lamented that both teams had difficulty in this match due to the hot, humid weather and the dense competition schedule, causing physical strength to decline quickly.

“After only a few dozen minutes of play, SLNA had to make substitutions. We had to move a lot and today the players’ legs no longer listened to their heads, so their heads could not control their legs and many mistakes occurred,” said Mr. Duc.

Explaining this loss and recent matches, Binh Duong FC has shown signs of running out of steam with all losses and draws, Coach Le Huynh Duc said: “Not only us but also some teams are running out of steam. I think SLNA played at home today, but away matches would be difficult. In this match, our team was weakened by injuries and fatigue due to constant travel. However, we had two very clear opportunities but failed to take advantage and paid the price.”

Talking about the championship goal, the captain of Binh Duong FC shared: “Of course we have the championship goal. In football, everyone wants to win, but we also have to know our own strength. Right from the beginning of the tournament, we determined that we had to try our best in each match, every match is a final. If we had a strong force like Hanoi Police or Nam Dinh , we would boldly declare that we are ready to fight for the championship goal. With our force, we do not dare to make such a bold declaration.”

Defender Que Ngoc Hai did not play in this match despite being placed on the bench. “In the previous match, Hai was also on the bench because he needed to recover from an injury. This match is at home, so I want to give Hai more comfort and not let him play,” said Mr. Duc.

On the other hand, SLNA coach Pham Anh Tuan was very happy to have won the third consecutive match. “I feel very happy right now. I want to thank the audience who came to the stadium in large numbers to cheer for the team, and thank the players for playing their best. This is the motivation for us to continue to overcome difficulties when facing very strong opponents in the remaining matches,” Mr. Tuan shared.

After Mr. Tuan was promoted to lead SLNA, in the last 4 consecutive matches, SLNA won 3 and drew 1. “I haven’t done much, but just created a comfortable mindset for the players, relieved some pressure. Actually, before, the players played well, not poorly, but due to psychological pressure. They were young, under pressure, so mistakes often happened. I helped them improve their mentality, become more confident, so they played more freely,” said the Vinh Stadium commander.

By defeating Binh Duong FC, SLNA has 25 points and is in a good position to avoid the play-off. In the next match, SLNA will meet Nam Dinh away. Talking about this match which is predicted to be very difficult, Coach Pham Anh Tuan shared: "For us now, every match is very important. We will try our best in each match and hope to get points."
