On January 16th, in Hanoi , the Central Council for the Evaluation and Classification of OCOP Products met to evaluate and rank OCOP products. Thanh Hoa province had one more product, "Le Gia Fish Sauce - Special 40N Concentrate," from Le Gia Food & Trading Service Co., Ltd. (Hoang Hoa district), recognized as meeting the National 5-star OCOP standard.
Le Gia fish sauce products have been recognized as meeting the National OCOP 5-star standard.
In this selection round, 52 products nationwide were nominated for National 5-Star OCOP recognition. After reviewing the strict criteria, only 28 products were recognized, including "Le Gia Fish Sauce - Special 40N Concentrate".
The Central Council for Evaluation and Classification of OCOP Products held a meeting on January 16, 2025.
"Le Gia Fish Sauce - Special 40N Concentrate" is fermented for 24 months using the traditional pressing method. The ingredients are carefully selected, including fresh fish from the Thanh Hoa sea, 2-year-old salt, and absolutely no preservatives or additives.
It is known that products recognized as 5-star OCOP (One Commune One Product) must meet many criteria, including promoting local agricultural product value chains, showcasing unique local culture, meeting high standards, and having products that are regularly exported.

This is Thanh Hoa's second 5-star OCOP product, also from the same company, Le Gia Food & Trading Service Co., Ltd. Previously, Thanh Hoa's first 5-star OCOP product, "Le Gia Shrimp Paste," was recognized in 2020.
