Establishment of sub-committees under the Organizing Committee of the 8th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports and related meetings in Vietnam

Accordingly, the Protocol, Finance and Logistics Subcommittee under the Organizing Committee of the 8th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports and related conferences in Vietnam was established, consisting of 29 members, with Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department as Head of the Subcommittee. Ms. Tran Hai Van, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Mr. Tan Le Minh, Chief of Office of the Vietnam Sports Department as Deputy Heads of the Subcommittee.

The Reception, Finance and Logistics Subcommittee is assigned to perform the following tasks: Submit to the Head of the Organizing Committee for approval of the budget estimate for the organization of AMMS 8 and SOMS 16; Complete the procedures for selecting accommodation service providers, means of transport to welcome and see off delegates attending AMMS 8/SOMS 16 and some items related to the organization of the Conference according to regulations; Coordinate with the ASEAN Secretariat and relevant agencies to standardize, print and issue documents for delegates; Implement the purchase of gifts and national flags of ASEAN countries and ASEAN partners; Implement the selection and training of volunteers for the Conference.

In addition, the subcommittees are also responsible for implementing the reception work to welcome international delegations; accompanying high-ranking officials to attend the conference; Deploying the arrangement of the conference hall, decoration, sound, and interpretation cabin; arranging VIP reception rooms during the conference; Preparing the handover ceremony of Vietnam's hosting role to Cambodia; Completing procedures related to the settlement of expenses for organizing the conference.

The Decision also assigns the Head of the Reception, Finance and Logistics Subcommittee to be responsible for developing the Subcommittee's operating regulations and assigning specific tasks to members to carry out the Subcommittee's general tasks.
