Establishing a branch of the Academy of Finance in Ho Chi Minh City.

On November 14th, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son signed a decision to establish a branch of the Academy of Finance in Ho Chi Minh City, effective from the date of signing.

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son requested the Academy of Finance to report to the Ministry on the conditions for ensuring educational quality in order to allow the Academy of Finance's branch in Ho Chi Minh City to commence training activities.

The Academy of Finance was established in 2001 through the merger of the Hanoi University of Finance and Accounting, the Institute of Financial Research, and the Center for Financial Cadre Training. In 2003, the Academy of Finance also incorporated the Institute of Market and Price Research. The Academy's headquarters are located in Dong Ngac Ward, Hanoi.

The Academy of Finance is a key national educational institution specializing in finance and economics . Last year, the academy added 15 internationally oriented programs to meet the demand for in-depth study according to global standards. Currently, the Academy of Finance has approximately 25,000 students and over 1,000 faculty and staff members.

Previously, in September 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long also signed a decision approving the establishment of a branch of the Academy of Finance in Hung Yen province, based on the University of Finance and Business Administration.

The government has assigned the Academy of Finance to take the lead and coordinate with the University of Finance and Business Administration to finalize the dossier for submission to the competent authority for consideration and decision.
