Establishment of the Academy of Finance branch in Ho Chi Minh City

On November 14, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son signed a decision to establish a branch of the Academy of Finance in Ho Chi Minh City, effective from the date of signing and promulgation.

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son requested the Academy of Finance to report to the ministry on the conditions to ensure educational quality to allow the Academy of Finance branch in Ho Chi Minh City to carry out training activities.

The Academy of Finance was established in 2001 on the basis of merging the Hanoi University of Finance and Accounting, the Institute of Financial Research and the Center for Financial Staff Training. In 2003, the Academy of Finance received the Institute for Price Market Science Research. The academy's headquarters is in Dong Ngac ward, Hanoi.

The Academy of Finance is a key national financial and economic training institution. Last year, the academy added 15 internationally oriented programs to meet the needs of learners who want to study in-depth according to world standards. Currently, the Academy of Finance has about 25,000 students, along with more than 1,000 staff and lecturers.

Previously, in September 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long also signed a decision approving the policy of establishing a branch of the Academy of Finance in Hung Yen province, on the basis of the University of Finance - Business Administration.

The Government assigned the Academy of Finance to preside over and coordinate with the University of Finance and Business Administration to complete the dossier to submit to the competent authority for consideration and decision.
