Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong highly appreciated the relationship between Vietnam and China in recent times. Vietnam and China are two close neighbors, sharing many similarities in political regimes, development paths, cultural and social characteristics. The two Parties, two countries and two peoples have given each other valuable support and assistance in the past struggle for national independence and in the construction of socialism today.

The success of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's visit to China in October 2022 and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping's visit to Vietnam in December 2023 provided great momentum and encouragement for the development of bilateral relations.

The Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized that, on the basis of the good friendship between Vietnam and China, the Hanoi City Delegation visited and worked in Shaanxi this time to promote cooperation between the two localities, especially in the cultural field.

The city delegation spent time learning about the work of preserving and promoting heritage values, developing the cultural industry of Shaanxi province through surveying many important heritages, relics, and museums: Binh Ma Dong, Shaanxi Provincial Museum... "Hanoi and Shaanxi are both localities with a massive, rich, and diverse cultural heritage system. Cooperation and sharing of experiences in exploiting this cultural heritage system with its hidden values to create new momentum in economic development in general and cultural industry in particular certainly has profound practical significance" - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong said.

The Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee also proposed a number of cooperation directions between the two localities in the coming time, such as: Firstly , promoting bilateral exchanges and contacts between the two localities, including both leadership and grassroots levels. Secondly , expanding and deepening cooperation in the cultural field, including expert exchanges, scientific seminars, sharing experiences in heritage conservation, and exploiting cultural heritage values. Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee Member, Xi'an Municipal Party Committee Secretary Fang Hongwei said: Shaanxi is one of the cradles of Chinese culture, once the capital of 14 dynasties with a long history and famous relics. Shaanxi is also one of the revolutionary bases where the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and its revolutionary predecessors operated for 13 years.

Xi'an holds a special place in Chinese history. Among the ancient capitals of China, Chang'an (now Xi'an) was the first capital of a unified China under the Qin Dynasty. Qin Shi Huang built the Great Wall. The most famous landmarks in Xi'an are the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang and the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Xi'an Museum, with about 100,000 artifacts, is a museum that integrates cultural relics, scientific research and social education.

Today, Shaanxi is a province rich in natural gas and coal resources... and is a leading locality in China in developing new energy. With railways, roads, and airways, Xi'an has strongly developed its transportation system and is striving to become an important city in China.

Shaanxi has established friendly relations with 40 cities and 33 countries. Although the distance between Shaanxi and Vietnam is not close, there are currently more than 700 Vietnamese students studying at 12 educational institutions. Shaanxi has also cooperated with the Vietnam National Museum of History...

Shaanxi and Hanoi share a common cultural and historical foundation. The visit of the Hanoi delegation is a driving force for the two cities to develop in the coming time.
