Impressive achievements of female athlete Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong

Practicing fitness (a special type of training that focuses on building a toned body without being too strict on nutrition, especially for female athletes) since 2009, Kim Cuong only took one year to become the number 1 face in the country in the fitness - sport physique category for female athletes over 1.65 m tall.

Entering the international arena quite late, partly due to financial conditions not being able to participate in a socialized form, but Kim Cuong also showed that she has a great affinity for continental and world level tournaments. Since the two initial Asian silver medals in 2013, up to now, Kim Cuong's collection of achievements has increased significantly over time.

In 2024, Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong consecutively won the Fitness and Sport Physique titles for women over 1.65 m tall at the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship, held in the Maldives. A few months earlier, in these two strong competitions, she brought home a championship and a runner-up title for the Vietnamese bodybuilding team.

These impressive titles are the basis for the Weightlifting - Bodybuilding Department and the National Weightlifting - Bodybuilding Federation to propose awards and 5 teachers and students of the team, including Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong, were awarded the First Class Labor Medal. This is a worthy recognition for the efforts over the past 10 years of the girl from Cho Moi, An Giang .
