According to a report from the Department of Industry and Trade, there are currently 5 wind power projects in the province that have received investment approval but have not yet been implemented, including: the Japan-Bac Lieu Wind Power Plant, the Ca Mau 1C Wind Power Plant, the Ca Mau 1D Wind Power Plant, the Dong Hai 3 Wind Power Plant, and the Dong Hai 13 Wind Power Plant, with a total investment of approximately 18,000 billion VND.
During the meeting, investors reported on the difficulties and obstacles encountered during the project implementation, mainly related to technical adjustments, design changes, and land clearance issues, which led to delays. They also committed to accelerating the investment preparation process and commencing the project as soon as possible.

In his concluding remarks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Chi Nguyen requested that eligible projects should commence construction in mid-June and no later than July 2026; and instructed relevant agencies to continue working directly with each investor to agree on a specific implementation timeline.
At the same time, relevant departments and agencies are requested to proactively coordinate to resolve difficulties within their authority; support investors in completing dossiers and procedures, and accelerate the progress of project implementation.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that the wind power projects, once implemented, will contribute to boosting the growth of the industrial and construction sectors, creating momentum for the province's economic development in the coming period.
