Despite being a particularly disadvantaged village, for the past 20 years, Mbê village (Krông Búk commune, Krông Pắc district) has maintained its status as a cultural village, including 10 consecutive years of being recognized as a district-level cultural village.
According to Mr. Y Thi Niê, Head of the Fatherland Front Committee of Mbê village, the village has 170 households, with 167 Ede ethnic households and 3 Tay ethnic households. In their daily lives, the villagers always maintain a relationship of solidarity, closeness, and mutual support.
Besides rice, the main crop, the villagers have encouraged each other to diversify their crops, gradually increasing the area of perennial crops to improve production efficiency. As a result, the entire village now has only 7 poor households; the number of well-off and wealthy households is gradually increasing. Most of the village's internal roads have been paved, thanks not only to government investment but also to the collective contributions of labor and land from the people. Cultural and artistic activities in the village are also very vibrant…

Every year, at the beginning of November, the people of the village eagerly prepare for the Great Unity Festival to together review the history and traditions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and to assess the results of the patriotic emulation movements and campaigns in the village. This is also an opportunity for people to become closer through the sounds of gongs and drums, the Xoang dance, the traditional rice wine, and a communal meal. “This year, the festival also includes folk games such as rice pounding competitions, water carrying competitions over obstacles, and stilt walking football… The festival also has district and commune leaders, along with representatives from affiliated units, to join in the festivities, giving gifts and support to disadvantaged families and families with elderly members, so the people are very happy and excited. The festival further motivates the people to develop the economy , work together to build the village, and maintain the title of cultural village,” shared Mr. Y Thi Niê.
Meanwhile, in Ba Na village (Ia Jlơi commune, Ea Súp district), amidst the excitement of changing living conditions, the Great Unity Festival is an opportunity for the people to become closer, more united, and to encourage each other to develop the economy. Mr. Y Níp Siu, Head of the Front Committee of Ba Na village, said that the people of Ba Na village used to live scattered throughout the forest area bordering the two provinces of Dak Lak and Gia Lai. In 2002, implementing the Party and State's policy of settled farming and resettlement, the local Party committee and government organized the mobilization and brought people to settle in two concentrated residential clusters.

To date, the village has 126 households belonging to the Bana, Jrai, Tay, and Nung ethnic groups. Thanks to the State's investment and attention, infrastructure has been continuously strengthened; investment programs and policies for ethnic minority areas have been implemented promptly. Especially since the irrigation system was built, the villagers have been able to cultivate rice twice a year; grow tobacco; and raise buffalo and cattle in concentrated areas… contributing to a more prosperous and comfortable life. Security and order in the village are always maintained, and the political system is strengthened. Children receive full benefits from policies caring for their education and health. The poverty rate in the village has maintained an average reduction of 5% per year; over 80% of households have achieved the status of "cultural family".
In accordance with Directive No. 48-CT/TU dated May 20, 2024, of the Provincial Party Committee on implementing Resolution No. 26/NQ-MTTW-ĐCT dated November 11, 2023, of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on improving the quality and effectiveness of organizing the National Unity Day in residential areas, this year's National Unity Day took place enthusiastically in all villages and hamlets. The event became a forum for people to participate in building their residential areas, and an opportunity for Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front at all levels to get closer to the people and listen to their thoughts and aspirations from the grassroots.
