Today’s launching ceremony of Vietnam Sports has demonstrated the strong will, passion and value of hard work. To promote regional cooperation through sports, Thailand has hosted the SEA Games for the 6th time since the first event was held in Bangkok in 1959. Thailand is proud to host the 33rd SEA Games in Bangkok, Chonburi and Songkhla provinces, which are famous for their vibrant culture, beautiful landscapes and warm hospitality, and will continue to create a memorable Games for ASEAN countries.
Leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Physical Training and Sports awarded outstanding athletes and coaches, encouraging and motivating them to continue their efforts and achieve high results at the 33rd SEA Games.
Thailand is committed to delivering a world- class sporting experience, ensuring top-notch facilities, sustainable infrastructure and a warm welcome for athletes and visitors, the ambassador stressed. Beyond medals and competition, the SEA Games represent much more – a celebration of unity, resilience and shared aspirations. In addition, on April 3, 2025, the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association will co-organize a U17 women's football friendly match at the People's Police Academy Stadium.
