(CPV) – In the first phase of 2024, the OCOP product evaluation and ranking councils of Muong Te and Tam Duong districts ( Lai Chau province ) evaluated 11 OCOP products that met the 3-star standard.

In Muong Te district, the People's Committee organized an evaluation and ranking of OCOP products for 6 products, including: Pa U honey from the Vang Van Thien business household (Ward 1, Muong Te town); Truong Tuyen Ka Lang honey from the Tran Van Tuyen business household (Me Giong village, Ka Lang commune); Hai Hoan Vang San honey from the Cao Ngoc Hoan business household (Ward 12, Muong Te town); Ha Nhi traditional costume from the Chu Nhu Pu business household (Me Giong village, Ka Lang commune); Q CLEAN mouthwash and Q CLEAN disinfectant spray from Phu Thanh Cooperative (Ward 12, Muong Te town). Based on the evaluation results, the Council assessed the 6 products as achieving OCOP 3-star standard.
In the first phase of the 2024 OCOP product ranking program, Tam Duong district had 6 products from 6 registered entities that submitted product dossiers for evaluation. Of these, 5 products underwent initial evaluation, and 1 product underwent re-evaluation. The products eligible for evaluation belonged to 3 groups: 2 tourism products (Si Thau Chai community tourism in Ho Thau and Lao Chai 1 community tourism in Khun Ha); 2 processed products (Binh Lu vermicelli and Seng Cu Then Sin rice); and 1 fresh food product (Le Giang Ma). Simultaneously, Binh Lu vermicelli was deemed eligible to be submitted to the Provincial OCOP Product Ranking Council for certification as a 4-star OCOP product.

Thus far, Lai Chau has 215 products that have achieved OCOP 3-star and 4-star standards. The majority of these are local specialties, characteristic products, and traditional products, ensuring quality and food safety, with traceability, and packaging and labeling that aligns with consumer market trends and regulations. These products have initially unlocked the potential and strengths of the local raw material sources and labor force.
