Despite heavy rain during the four-day National Day holiday on September 2nd this year, Binh Thuan province remained crowded with tourists , especially in key tourist areas such as Ham Tien, Mui Ne, Tien Thanh, Ke Ga, Hoa Thang, Binh Thanh, and La Gi.

This year's National Day holiday on September 2nd saw a flurry of exciting activities and entertainment events organized to meet the recreational needs of tourists visiting Binh Thuan. NovaWorld Phan Thiet organized a series of entertainment programs and music festivals for visitors, including: the Best In Swimsuit - Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 event on August 30th; the Water Festival on August 31st… Notably, on September 2nd, the "Stairway to Heaven" music event and artistic fireworks display took place, with free entry for all visitors. Visitors were impressed with the amenities, including accommodation, entertainment, and dining along the long stretch of blue coastline. With the holiday lasting four days, Binh Thuan province had implemented numerous measures beforehand to prepare for the arrival of guests, affirming its image as a safe, friendly, and attractive destination.

To ensure that tourists visiting and vacationing during the September 2nd holiday this year are well-served, safe, joyful, comfortable, and have a positive impression of the destination, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism previously requested the Culture and Information Departments of districts, towns, and cities, the management boards of tourist areas and attractions, and tourism businesses in the province to strengthen local tourism management and service. In particular, many new tourism products and services were introduced to serve tourists during this holiday. The most impressive event for tourists was the artistic fireworks display at NovaWorld Phan Thiet on the evening of September 2nd, adding an attractive highlight to draw visitors. Prior to the September 2nd holiday, travel companies offered many promotions for tourists traveling to Binh Thuan, and many tourists chose Binh Thuan as their destination for this holiday. Many tourists believe that tourism in Binh Thuan in general, and Phan Thiet in particular, has long been one of the top destinations in Vietnam, with its towering coconut trees lining the coast and fresh seafood caught and prepared by local fishermen. Binh Thuan not only boasts pristine natural beauty but is also an attractive cultural tourism destination with a large population of ethnic groups such as the Cham and Chinese. In addition, visitors can enjoy many exciting recreational activities such as scuba diving, sandboarding, kitesurfing, and many other fun activities.

Notably, despite high demand for accommodations, prices only increased by about 10% compared to normal days. Conversely, many businesses, travel agencies, and tourist attractions offered discounts of 10-30% on products, services, tour tickets, and entrance fees. During the three peak days (August 31st - September 2nd), the occupancy rate of 3-4 star hotels and resorts in the central areas of Phan Thiet City, Ham Tien, Mui Ne, Tien Thanh, Ham Thuan Nam, and La Gi reached over 90%, while the average occupancy rate in other areas was 70-80%. It is estimated that during this year's National Day holiday on September 2nd, the number of tourists visiting and staying in the province reached approximately 385,000, a 3.3-fold increase compared to 2023, including about 9,700 international tourists, generating revenue of approximately 510 billion VND.

In particular, provincial authorities have implemented measures to ensure security, public order, and traffic safety, while coordinating with key tourist destinations to regularly inspect and remind tourist areas, attractions, and tourism businesses to ensure environmental standards, reasonable prices, quality of services, and civilized conduct in tourism activities. To ensure security and order during this year's National Day holiday on September 2nd, the Provincial Police proactively implemented a comprehensive set of operational measures to ensure absolute safety for cultural and political events as well as recreational activities, creating conditions for people to enjoy the holiday in a joyful and safe manner. With a proactive, decisive, and coordinated approach to implementing measures and with a high sense of responsibility, the entire provincial police force is determined to ensure stable security and order throughout the province during the holiday so that residents and tourists can have a safe, joyful, and happy holiday.
