Earlier, in the early morning of June 11th, a group of individuals attacked the headquarters of Ea Tiêu and Ea Ktur communes in Cư Kuin district, killing and injuring several commune police officers, officials, and residents. To date, the Krông Búk District Police have received the surrenders of 8 suspects.
Currently, the Krông Búk District Police are continuing to coordinate with relevant agencies to apprehend related individuals for prosecution according to the law; at the same time, they are stepping up efforts to raise awareness and encourage related individuals to surrender to receive leniency from the law.
Immediately after the attack, the Krông Búk District Police issued a letter appealing to those who participated in and committed the particularly serious violations of the law to surrender themselves. Families of children, siblings, and relatives who violated the law were urged to actively encourage them to surrender and honestly confess in order to benefit from the leniency policies of the Party and the State. At the same time, the Krông Búk District Police called on local residents to actively participate in reporting crimes and providing accurate information to help law enforcement investigate, clarify, and strictly handle the cases. Those who continue to evade capture and commit crimes will be severely punished according to the law upon arrest.
Regarding the incident, as of June 16th, the police force had arrested and prosecuted more than 50 individuals directly involved, notably all the ringleaders were apprehended; confiscated numerous weapons including military weapons, homemade weapons, sporting weapons, knives, grenades, and some ammunition.
