According to VNA, on June 16, the police of Krong Buk district, Dak Lak province, said that in relation to the attack in Dak Lak, a total of 8 subjects in the district have surrendered.
Earlier, in the early morning of June 11, a group of people attacked the headquarters of two communes, Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur, Cu Kuin district, killing and injuring a number of commune police officers, commune officials and residents. To date, Krong Buk district police have received 8 surrendered subjects.
Currently, Krong Buk District Police continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to continue to arrest related subjects to handle according to the provisions of the law; at the same time, step up propaganda and mobilize related subjects to surrender to enjoy leniency of the law.
Immediately after the attack, the Krong Buk District Police issued a letter calling on those who participated in and committed particularly serious violations of the law to come forward and surrender. Families with children, siblings, and relatives who violated the law actively encouraged them to come forward and confess honestly to enjoy the lenient policies of the Party and the State.
At the same time, Krong Buk District Police called on local people to actively participate in reporting crimes and providing accurate information to help the authorities investigate and handle the case strictly. Those who continue to hide and commit crimes, when caught, will be strictly punished by law.
Regarding the incident, by June 16, the police force had arrested and prosecuted more than 50 people directly involved in the incident, in particular all the ringleaders were arrested; many weapons including military weapons, homemade weapons and sports weapons, knives, grenades and some bullets were confiscated.

Informing the press, Lieutenant General To An Xo, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, stated: The Ministry of Public Security assessed that the incident that occurred in Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province on June 11 was a serious, organized, reckless, barbaric, and inhumane act of causing insecurity and disorder.
He said that this group shot dead the Secretary of Ea Ktur commune, the Chairman of Ea Tieu commune, 04 police officers, 03 residents, and injured several others.
When they stormed the commune People's Committee headquarters, they broke the glass doors, shot officials, continued to use primitive weapons to attack, taking the lives of victims, and threw petrol bombs to burn down the commune People's Committee.
On the way, they stopped the car, shot the driver and people when they met, and continued to commit barbaric acts as they had done to the commune officials.
Through initial statements, these people said, "We received instructions that if we met cadres and commune police, we would kill them, rob them of their property, guns and ammunition."
Lieutenant General To An Xo emphasized: The actions of these subjects are brutal, extremely dangerous, and have extremely serious consequences, causing insecurity and disorder at the grassroots level. These are actions that need to be strongly condemned and promptly dealt with strictly before the law.
The incident also shows the bravery and dedication to the common cause of the Secretary of Ea Ktur commune and the Chairman of Ea Tieu commune (when he knew about the incident at the commune headquarters, he immediately went to the scene and was killed by bad guys).

Accordingly, Cu Kuin district established a Steering Committee headed by the Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee to go to the area to directly direct units to overcome the consequences. Based on the statistics of the damage, the district will report in writing to the Department of Finance to have the fastest and most convenient method, ensuring the provision of equipment for agencies and units to work. On the night of June 13, 01 person involved in the incident of causing insecurity and disorder turned himself in. So far, 03 people involved in the incident have turned themselves in to receive leniency; the total number of people arrested and detained is 46.

Returning to Ea Ktur three days after the incident, the people of the commune had returned to their daily lives. Along the road connecting the commune center to the villages, life had returned to normal. Shops were open, and the circulation of goods had resumed.
To ensure the safety of the people, Dak Lak province has arranged checkpoints with functional forces on duty 24/7. This has brought a sense of safety and security to the people.

The appeal letter stated: On the morning of June 11, 2023, in Cu Kuin district, a group of armed individuals attacked the police headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, causing casualties to a number of commune police officers, commune officials and residents.
The people of all ethnic groups in the province are very angry about the law-breaking behavior of this group of subjects.
The number of weapons used by the group to commit the crime was seized.
Immediately after the incident, under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Dak Lak province, along with the active support of the people in Cu Kuin district, the functional forces urgently arrested the subjects and are resolutely pursuing the remaining subjects to strictly handle them according to the provisions of the law.
Many documents and items at the warehouse of the Ea Tur Commune Militia and Self-Defense Force were burned.
Local authorities have implemented measures to stabilize the situation, promptly visit and support families of the deceased and injured; inform and encourage people to stay calm, not panic, and follow the instructions of the authorities.
