Established in 1988, in the context of the country starting the Renovation process, Agribank has a proud mission - the mission of being a financial lever for the "three rural" area - which accounts for nearly 60% of the population but still faces many difficulties, such as lack of capital and development opportunities. In the 37-year journey of overcoming difficulties, Agribank has gradually grown, affirming its pioneering role in providing policy credit, developing comprehensive finance, providing capital to take advantage of remote, isolated, border, and island areas... creating momentum for production, developing finance - society, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction.
Agribank Party Committee is a grassroots party committee directly under the Government Party Committee, with more than 24,000 members in 214 direct grassroots party cells. Under the leadership of Agribank Party Committee, Agribank's staff, members and employees always strive, unite, and together supervise the completion of the set political goals and tasks.
In recent years, the entire system has been reorganized and consolidated in the direction of streamlining, operating effectively and efficiently in accordance with the spirit of Decision No. 18-NQ/TW. At the same time, the entire system encourages and seriously implements Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; closely follows Directive No. 35-CT/TW and Directive No. 45-CT/TW of the Central Committee on organizing Party Congresses at all levels, ensuring progress and quality, promoting democracy, maintaining the principles of Party organization and activities. Along with that is the determination to successfully implement Resolution No. 192/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly on the GDP growth target of 8% in 2025, creating a breakthrough in socio -economic development associated with the task of building a strong Party and political system from the grassroots.
In addition, further strengthening all aspects of inspection, supervision, preliminary and final reviews; Promoting anti-corruption work and effectively implementing resolutions and directives of the Central Committee; Organizing Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term have also achieved encouraging results in the work of building ideology, ethics, organization and management of the Agribank Party Committee in the new period. In particular, the activities to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and style and the Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideology... have built a team of cadres and members in the system of organizations of the Agribank Party Committee that are "both red and professional", have a steadfast ideology, are innovative and creative, and aim for sustainable development. Along with that, thematic activities, visits to red addresses, and revolutionary tradition education are widely organized throughout the system, arousing patriotism and national pride, contributing to strengthening the belief and revolutionary ideals in each cadre, member, and worker.
Agricultural Bank capital fuels farmers' big dreams
Not only a bank, Agribank is still a close "companion" of millions of farmers across the country. Typical agricultural models across the country, with strong support from Agribank's capital, such as the vegetable, flower and fruit growing model in Lam Dong, large-scale fields in Can Tho, large-scale livestock farming in Bac Ninh, investment in agricultural mechanization in Tien Giang, high-tech corn in Son La, or VietGap dragon fruit in Binh Thuan... all bear the mark of Agribank's cash flow. Continuing the achievements, with the attention and direction of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly, Government Party Committee, State Bank; the companionship and support of ministries, central departments, branches, local Party committees and authorities; the connection and sharing from millions of customers and partners, promoting the internal strength of the whole system, Agribank continues to develop safely and effectively, determined to fulfill the highest assigned goals and plans, the goals and targets of the Restructuring Plan associated with bad debt settlement for the period 2021-2025, successfully implementing the resolution of the 10th Agribank Party Congress, term 2020-2025 and the Agribank development campaign to 2025, with a vision to 2030, creating a premise for sustainable development in the next period and making important contributions to the country's socio-economic development. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, mobilized capital reached over VND 2 million billion, up 2.6% compared to the beginning of the year; outstanding credit reached nearly VND 1.8 million billion, up 3.4%; Bad debt was controlled at 1.47%; service revenue grew by 8.4% over the same period; in particular, debt collection after processing reached over VND 2,000 billion, a sharp increase compared to the previous year. This demonstrates Agribank's flexible management and timely response in a challenging economic context.
