
At around 4pm on August 2, a fire broke out at house number 16B, lane 220, Bac Cau street, Bo De ward. The house on fire has 3 floors, 1 attic, floor area of about 35m2 , located in a deep alley, about 200m from the traffic road.
Upon receiving the news, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center mobilized Fire Fighting and Rescue Teams of Areas 1 and 18 (Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department) to dispatch 3 fire trucks, 1 tanker, along with officers and soldiers to the scene to organize fire fighting and rescue.

Upon arriving at the scene, through reconnaissance information, it was determined that the fire started on the first floor and that there were still people trapped in the fire. The fire commander directed officers and soldiers to bring personal protective equipment and breathing apparatus to coordinate with the Bo De Ward Police and the people to exploit the access positions, move to the upper floors to search and rescue the trapped people.
At the same time, the fire commander directed the deployment of the team to prevent the fire from spreading to the upper floors of the house.

After a period of firefighting and search and rescue efforts, at around 4:20 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished. The Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force promptly brought the 3 victims (children of the homeowner) trapped on the 2nd floor of the house down the stairs to a safe area, and handed them over to the medical team for emergency treatment. It is known that the health of the 3 victims is currently stable.
The cause of the fire is being further investigated and clarified by authorities.
