At the program, more than 150 people had their eyes examined and screened, and 50 eligible cases were assigned to cataract surgery.
The total cost of the project was over VND500 million, mobilized from Hung Hau Heart Fund. The program was supported by more than 50 doctors, nurses, and more than 30 students and young volunteers from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Van Hien University and the local area.
The program aims to provide community health care through completely free eye examinations, consultations and surgery (cataracts).
Beneficiaries include families of policy beneficiaries, relatives of cadres, soldiers, workers and people in difficult circumstances, especially those in remote areas who still face many difficulties in accessing specialized medical services.

Free eye surgery for people.
The activity is part of a series of community programs of Hung Hau Heart Fund; associated with major events of the country, and at the same time associated with the peak emulation period of the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign in Dong Thap province.
With the theme “Pink Lotus Light”, the program not only lights up the eyes of the less fortunate, but also spreads the spirit of sharing, gratitude and kindness in the community.
The organizers hope that the first program will be the beginning of a long-term journey, bringing light, medical care opportunities and love closer to people in remote areas across the country.
