With the theme "Where the Red River flows into Vietnam", the main activities of the Red River Festival 2025 will take place over 7 days, expected from November 21, 2025 to November 28, 2025. The response activities will take place before the Festival Week, in 2025.
The main activities of the Red River Festival 2025 include: Opening ceremony of the Red River Festival 2025; Experiencing ethnic cultural space, displaying culture and tourism of provinces and cities in the Red River basin; Traditional costume performance contest and performance of folk cultural rituals of Lao Cai province; Marathon Championship "Conquering Lung Po - Where the Red River flows into Vietnam" in 2025; Sports exchange between businessmen and youth of Lao Cai province, Vietnam - Yunnan province, China; 25th Vietnam - China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai) in 2025; International workshop "Solutions to promote cooperation and development between provinces in the Red River basin - Vietnam and Yunnan province - China".
Response activities include: Muong Lo Cultural and Tourism Festival 2025; Dong Cuong Temple Festival; Bao Ha Temple Festival 2025; "Red River Festival 2025" Golf Tournament; Incentive and promotional programs for tourists and locals during the Festival Week in Lao Cai province;
The Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant agencies to closely coordinate and organize the implementation, ensuring an impressive, attractive and fully reflecting cultural, historical and human values of Lao Cai in the process of formation and development; linking activities at the Red River Festival 2025 with promoting and introducing the province's tourism potential.
