The 26th Nghe Tinh Port Party Congress: Promoting 70-year tradition, aiming for rapid and sustainable development

On the morning of June 13, 2025, the 26th Congress of the Party Committee of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company, term 2025-2030, was solemnly held in Vinh city, Nghe An province. This is an annual political event of special significance, not only summarizing the past 5 years but also orienting the strategy for the development of Nghe Tinh Port in the context of the unit aiming to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its establishment.

The Congress was honored to welcome senior leaders from the Party Committee of Vietnam National Shipping Lines ( VIMC ) and the Party agencies of Nghe An province. The presence and direct direction of comrade Doan Thi Thu Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vietnam National Shipping Lines - and many comrades in the Organizing Committee and the Office of the Corporation demonstrated the special attention of the superiors to the activities of the Nghe Tinh Port Party Committee.

Comrade Le Doan Long - Member of the Standing Committee - Party Secretary - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company presented the Political Report at the Congress.

Comrade Bui Kieu Hung - Member of the Standing Committee - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee - General Director of the company, presented the Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee for the term 2020 - 2025 at the Congress.

Comrade Tran Nam Hai - Member of the Party Committee - Deputy General Director of the company - presented the full text of the Summary Report.

Comrade Doan Thi Thu Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee - Vietnam Maritime Corporation gave a speech directing the Congress.

During the 2020-2025 term, the Nghe Tinh Port Party Committee has persevered in overcoming difficulties and achieved many remarkable achievements. Party building work has always been focused on, with the titles of "Clean, strong" and "Excellently completing tasks" maintained annually. All affiliated Party cells have completed their tasks well or better. Party development work has achieved outstanding results when 24 new Party members were admitted, exceeding the target by 120%. At the same time, inspection and supervision work was carried out seriously, with no complaints arising during the entire term.

Enterprises have been proactive in applying information technology and promoting digital transformation by deploying software such as Smart-TOS and ePort, towards a smart, modern and efficient port model.

At the Congress, political reports, review reports and summary reports were seriously presented by comrades in the Party Executive Committee. Speeches from representatives of departments and mass organizations in the company such as the Chairman of the Trade Union and the Head of the Technical Materials Department contributed to clarifying the achievements and proposing practical solutions for the new term.

The Congress conducted the election in accordance with regulations, ensuring democracy and responsibility. The Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 15 comrades, was elected with high confidence. The Party Inspection Committee, consisting of 5 comrades, was also elected with the task of continuing to strengthen inspection, supervision and maintaining discipline in the Party. The Congress also elected a Delegation to attend the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Party Congress, consisting of 10 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates, representing the spirit and will of all Nghe Tinh Port Party members.

The Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term was introduced at the Congress.

With the slogan of action “Promoting the 70-year tradition – Determined to build Nghe Tinh Port to develop rapidly and sustainably in the new era”, the Congress agreed on key goals and solutions for the new term. The focus is to continue building a clean and strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization, staff, inspection and supervision. In addition, leaders carry out political tasks through market development, upgrading infrastructure, effective financial management, restructuring the organization, improving the quality of human resources and promoting the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. Specific projects such as SmartGate investment, ePort upgrade, data center deployment and centralized monitoring system have been identified as key.

At the end of the Congress, the new Party Executive Committee was introduced, affirming the high determination of all cadres and Party members in successfully carrying out the assigned tasks. The 26th Congress of the Party Committee of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company was a great success, affirming the spirit of solidarity, intelligence and innovation, which is a solid foundation for Nghe Tinh Port to continue to develop, contributing to the common cause of Vietnam National Shipping Lines and Nghe An province.
