
This is the first event in a series of exhibition activities on handicraft products, OCOP products and typical rural industrial products at the "Display, introduction and promotion point of OCOP products in the Capital in 2025" (No. 176 Quang Trung, Ha Dong) organized by the Department of Industry and Trade of Hanoi city.
With a scale of about 500m2, the exhibition displays and introduces over 320 unique and creative handicraft and craft village products.
This is also an opportunity for enterprises and rural industrial production facilities in the ceramic and gold-plated industry in the city to learn, research and put these designs into actual production, develop new products to meet market demands.
The exhibition is also an opportunity for the public, those who love and are interested in the handicraft industry in general and the ceramic - gilded lacquer industry in particular, to admire typical, unique works of high aesthetic value created by the talented hands of artisans and skilled workers.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade said that the ceramic and gold-plated craft not only has economic significance, but also demonstrates ingenuity, talent and artistry.
Ceramic products - lacquered and gilded are the embodiment of culture and history, containing the soul and spirit of the nation through every touch, every line, every traditional pattern preserved and developed through many generations of artisans.
“The exhibition is an opportunity for ceramic products - gilded lacquer, handicraft products, typical rural industrial products to be widely introduced to a large number of visitors. Thereby, promoting trade activities, opening up cooperation opportunities, connecting supply and demand, creating motivation for the sustainable development of the handicraft industry”, Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong shared.
Regarding Bat Trang craft village, artisan Ha Thi Vinh said that trade promotion events, including specialized exhibitions, will be a bridge to help craft villages integrate and connect with each other.
Craft villages are the driving force for Hanoi to continue developing the cultural industry, building an economy based on creativity and cultural identity. In particular, pottery is not only a profession, but also a journey of creativity and cultural preservation. Each product is a story, a mark in the flow of heritage.
