Coffee prices remain stable domestically, with mixed increases and decreases internationally.
Coffee prices in the Central Highlands today, October 20, remained stable, fluctuating between 113,500 and 114,500 VND/kg, unchanged from October 19. Compared to the beginning of the week, prices increased slightly by 500 to 700 VND/kg.
Specifically, Dak Lak recorded the highest price in the region at 114,500 VND/kg, stable. Gia Lai traded at 114,000 VND/kg, unchanged. Lam Dong reached 113,500 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous session.

On the London floor, Robusta coffee prices fell slightly. The November 2025 futures contract reached $4,552/ton, down 1.33% (62 USD/ton). The January 2026 futures contract was at $4,478/ton, down 1.01% (46 USD/ton). The March 2026 futures contract reached $4,399/ton, down 1.07% (48 USD/ton). The May 2026 futures contract closed at $4,334/ton, down 1.09% (48 USD/ton). The July 2026 futures contract was the lowest, at $4,279/ton, down 1.01% (44 USD/ton).
On the New York floor, Arabica coffee prices increased slightly. The December 2025 futures contract reached 397.45 US cents/pound, up 0.93% (3.65 US cents/pound). The March 2026 futures contract was at 375.60 US cents/pound, up 0.59% (2.20 US cents/pound). The May 2026 futures contract reached 360.35 US cents/pound, up 0.31% (1.10 US cents/pound). The July 2026 futures contract reached 346.00 US cents/pound, up 0.26% (0.90 US cents/pound). The September 2026 futures contract was the lowest, reaching 332.90 US cents/pound, up 0.32% (1.05 US cents/pound).
The final trading session of the week showed that the coffee market was volatile due to two opposing forces: the risk of the Brazilian crop (drought in Minas Gerais, record low Arabica stocks of 467,110 bags, forecast deficit of 8.5 million bags in 2025/26) pushed prices up, while the prospect of robusta supply from Vietnam (heavy rains in the Central Highlands) and rumors of US-Brazil tariff removal pushed prices down. The market is expected to continue to be volatile, with robusta correcting after a rapid increase and Arabica having the potential to recover due to low stocks and weather risks.
Pepper prices have a new increase, raising the average price to 145,500 VND/kg.
Pepper prices today (October 20), domestic market remains stable, fluctuating from 144,000 - 146,000 VND/kg, average at 145,500 VND/kg.
Specifically, in Gia Lai province, pepper price reached 144,000 VND/kg, unchanged, the lowest level in the region. Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province both recorded the price of 145,500 VND/kg, up 500 VND/kg compared to the previous session. Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces reached the highest level, at 146,000 VND/kg, unchanged.

In the world market, pepper prices were largely stable. In Indonesia, Lampung black pepper decreased slightly by 0.07 USD/ton to 7,228 USD/ton; Muntok white pepper decreased by 0.06 USD/ton to 10,085 USD/ton.
Brazil and Malaysia recorded no fluctuations. Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was at USD 6,100/ton; Malaysian ASTA black pepper was at USD 9,500/ton; Malaysian ASTA white pepper was at USD 12,500/ton.
Vietnam's pepper export prices remain unchanged. Black pepper 500g/l is at 6,400 USD/ton; 550g/l is at 6,600 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper is at 9,050 USD/ton.
In the first eight months of 2025, the EU imported 89,036 tonnes of pepper from non-EU countries, worth 617.9 million EUR, down 1.1% in volume but up 42.6% in value compared to the same period last year, showing a sharp increase in pepper prices. Vietnam led with 56,989 tonnes (accounting for 64%, down 4.5%), followed by Brazil (14,726 tonnes, 16.5%, up 5.1%), Indonesia (6,484 tonnes, 7.3%, up 10.7%) and India (4,124 tonnes, 4.6%, down 9.8%).
