Developing startup models in Dinh Quan commune

In recent times, Dinh Quan commune has focused on and encouraged innovative start-up models and private economic development in the area. Start-up activities in the area are quite vibrant with many good models of young people.

Many creative startup models and projects

Recently, the startup project named “Tran Gia Bird’s Nest” by Ms. Pham Le Dieu Hang in Dinh Quan commune, Dong Nai province was one of 30 projects honored to be selected to the final round of the 2025 Rural Youth Startup Project Competition organized by the Central Youth Union. The project not only demonstrates the strength and intelligence of a young person in developing the economy with the main products made by Dinh Quan people but also demonstrates the desire to bring good products to serve the health care needs of consumers.

In 2018, Ms. Dieu Hang's family invested in building a bird's nest house, with the purpose of selling raw bird's nests. Realizing that the demand for bird's nest products is quite high, by 2022, after a process of learning and gaining experience in bird's nest production, her family boldly invested in facilities for bird's nest processing with a personal brand called Tran Gia Bird's Nest. After 7 years of operation and development, up to now, the model has developed 2 bird's nest houses with an area of ​​400m2, harvesting 12,000 nests each year. Up to now, Tran Gia Bird's Nest has launched more than 10 main products from bird's nests including: raw bird's nests, stewed bird's nests, bird's nest porridge, abalone bird's nest soup...

Through retail and wholesale distribution through traditional sales channels and social networking platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, linking promotions, marketing..., the annual revenue of this bird's nest farming model reaches over 3.5 billion VND. From investing in bird's nest farming and bird's nest business, this model has created jobs for many local workers.

From the economic efficiency of the project, and at the same time wanting to replicate the model to a large number of union members and young people, in 2024, Ms. Dieu Hang brought the project to participate in the 3rd Dong Nai Province Creative Rural Youth Startup Competition in 2024, jointly organized by the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union, and won second prize in this competition. In 2025, her project continued to be selected for the final round of the 2025 Rural Youth Startup Project Competition organized by the Central Youth Union.

Ms. Pham Le Dieu Hang shared: “In 2024, Tran Gia Bird's Nest products were supported by the local government with the application procedures to register products that meet the 3-star OCOP (One Commune One Product) standard. Notably, Tran Gia Bird's Nest products won second prize in the Dong Nai Province's Creative Rural Youth Startup Competition. Thanks to the support of the local government, we are more confident in our goals. In the coming years, we hope to build 2 more bird's nest houses and open another store, trying to expand our business on e-commerce platforms, social networks... ".

Similarly, the Startup Project on goat farming for meat by applying technology to production by Mr. Le Ngoc Hiep Hoang (Hoa Dong hamlet, Dinh Quan commune) also demonstrates many passionate ideas, aspirations, and innovations of young people in the commune. This project won first prize in the 3rd Dong Nai Province Rural Youth Startup Competition in 2024.

Previously, Mr. Le Ngoc Hiep Hoang's family used to raise goats in Hoa Dong hamlet, old Ngoc Dinh commune on a small scale. Later, Mr. Hoang improved and expanded the scale of raising goats, replicating the model of raising goats for meat to many local people. Currently, his family's total herd of goats is up to nearly 200, with 9 barns in an area of ​​about 200m2. The barn system for goats has a simple design, the location of the barn is clean, quiet, and far from water sources. Mr. Hoang's family's goat raising project is raised using a barn system, not free-range.

Mr. Hoang said: “In particular, the barn is also equipped with a solar lighting system and surveillance cameras, helping me closely manage the activities of the goats in the barn to minimize risks and have timely treatment measures. Goat manure is composted with lime to make bio-fertilizer for plants or sold to gardeners.”

The projects and start-up models of union members and youth in the commune have contributed to encouraging rural youth in Dinh Quan in particular and Dong Nai in general to promote the spirit of start-up and entrepreneurship, contributing to the development of the rural economy in a modern, green and sustainable direction.

One of the solutions is to develop a modern and sustainable economy based on the application of science and technology and innovation. In particular, the commune encourages start-ups, innovation and supports business development and collective economic development. At the same time, the commune considers the private economy an important driving force in the process of socio-economic development. Actively implement support activities through the provision of business development services, connection activities through industry linkages and value chain linkages.

In recent times, the government and unions of Dinh Quan commune have always accompanied young people in starting a business, establishing a career and establishing a career. Thereby, creating opportunities to exchange, learn and share experiences on effective projects. At the same time, raising awareness of union members, association members and young people about starting a business; promoting the development of startup project ideas among young people... contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Secretary of the Dinh Quan Commune Youth Union Tran Trang Hong An shared: “The commune Youth Union organizes seminars for students to learn and exchange with each other to sit together to study, exchange and learn good models of economic development in the locality. In addition, the commune Youth Union has proactively linked with the local Social Policy Bank Branch to introduce loan sources to create jobs to support young people with capital for production, business and implementation of livestock models in the locality. Through such support, many local youth union members have become more confident and bold to establish themselves and start a career in their hometown of Dinh Quan.
