With many creative models and effective methods, localities and units in the province have contributed to spreading the spirit of learning, enriching knowledge and improving the cultural life of the people.
Diverse forms of learning in the community
Dong Nai Library is considered one of the bright spots in building a learning society in the locality. Over the years, the library has regularly organized various activities and community learning models such as: Book Reading Festival, Lifelong Learning Week, Storytelling and Painting Contest, Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, etc., attracting thousands of readers, especially students at all levels in the province to participate.
Not only serving on-site, the library also coordinates with units and localities to organize mobile book services to schools, circulate books to grassroots libraries and cultural houses, helping people in remote areas access diverse sources of knowledge. Notably, the Mobile Library Vehicle model of Dong Nai Library has become a "knowledge bridge" to students and people in ethnic minority areas and border areas. The vehicle is equipped with more than 4,500 books along with computers, televisions, projectors, management software and documentary films, bringing a lively and attractive reading space.
Along with the library system, many clubs at cultural institutions have also become learning environments, exchanges and lifelong skills development for people. Communes and wards in the province currently maintain hundreds of cultural, artistic, sports and life skills clubs, which regularly meet at cultural houses.
Deputy Director of Dong Nai Cultural - Cinema Center Do Thi Hong said: The Center is maintaining 10 clubs with nearly 200 members. Every year, the center regularly opens professional training courses; organizes competitions and festivals for participating clubs. Thereby, expanding and spreading the learning movement among all classes of people.
In Phuoc Thai commune, the Book Cafe - Digital Transformation model has become a familiar destination, where people can enjoy coffee and read books in an open space. With more than 200 books in many fields, the model contributes to bringing knowledge closer to the community, arousing the spirit of reading and promoting digital transformation in social life.
In the 9 months of 2025, Dong Nai Library served readers on the internet with more than 4.2 million visits; served nearly 255 thousand readers inside and outside the library. In addition, the library organized mobile service at 31 points with more than 12.3 thousand books and circulated to 23 points with nearly 15 thousand books.
Digital transformation promotes learning movement
Not only serving readers on-site and mobile, Dong Nai Library is also a pioneer in digital transformation, building electronic libraries, and implementing QR codes to help readers easily access knowledge anytime, anywhere.
According to Deputy Director of Dong Nai Library Vo Xuan Le, the unit has been increasing communication on the website and social networks, contributing to attracting readers, especially young people. Digitalization helps people look up documents, read books and magazines online and participate in exchange and learning activities via digital platforms, thereby spreading reading culture and forming lifelong learning habits in the community.
Along with the library, Dong Nai Museum has also become an attractive learning destination for students, locals and tourists. Since the beginning of the year, the museum has organized many outdoor exhibitions, creating conditions for the public to learn about local history and culture. In particular, the museum has promoted the application of digital technology in displaying, digitizing documents and artifacts, attaching QR codes at relics, and at the same time building virtual reality tours at Tran Bien Temple of Literature, Nguyen Huu Canh Temple and Tomb, Hang Gon Megalithic Tomb... helping visitors experience Dong Nai's history and culture in a vivid way.
To spread Dong Nai's cultural values and better serve the people's lifelong learning activities, Dong Nai Cultural - Cinema Center actively builds virtual reality exhibitions such as: Don ca tai tu - echoes of the South; Sea and islands - the heart of Vietnam; Country full of joy; Dong Nai - land of culture and people... These exhibitions are introduced on the website and Facebook of the unit and localities, serving the public for online viewing, study and research.
The program to promote lifelong learning activities in libraries, museums, and cultural centers by 2030 in Dong Nai province strives for the number of visits to museums and library use to increase by an average of 10-15% per year. Strive for 100% of hamlet and neighborhood cultural houses to have gifted classes or clubs and interest groups that regularly conduct cultural, artistic, and sports activities, attracting people to participate in activities, serving the promotion of lifelong learning.
