Special art program to celebrate Kate festival

On the evening of October 20, at Huu Duc village stadium (Phuoc Huu commune), a special art program took place to celebrate the Kate festival in 2025. The program was directed by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa; and performed by the Khanh Hoa Traditional Arts Theater.

Attending the program were comrades: Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Khac Ha - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Long Bien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and localities in the province; along with thousands of people and tourists.

During the 80-minute performance, the audience enjoyed a unique art program featuring the culture of the Cham ethnic group and other ethnic groups in the province. This contributed to increasing the festive atmosphere during Kate.

The artists and artisans presented the audience with unique songs and dances; along with the sounds of traditional musical instruments such as Ginang drum, Paranung drum, Saranai trumpet, lithophone… All blended together, deep and quiet like ancient towers, but also lively and bustling in the joyful festival.

Apsara dance is typical of the Cham people.

2025 is an activity to concretize the content of the project to Preserve and Promote the values ​​of the Kate festival of the Cham people in Khanh Hoa province in the period of 2025 - 2030. The first year of implementing the project aims to sustainably preserve the unique values ​​of the Kate festival towards promoting tourism activities of Khanh Hoa province.
