On the morning of October 21, comrade Nguyen Long Bien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the Kate festival with Cham people following Brahmanism at Po Inư Nưgar temple (Huu Duc village, Phuoc Huu commune). Also attending were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; Office of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Kate Festival of the Cham people is part of the national cultural heritage of Vietnam, the contribution of the Cham people and Cham culture to the unified and diverse Vietnamese culture. Comrade Nguyen Long Bien hopes that dignitaries and officials will continue to propagate and encourage people to preserve and promote the unique values ​​of the Kate Festival, as well as other traditional festivals of the Cham people in Khanh Hoa province, creating opportunities for Cham culture and Khanh Hoa culture to be promoted to friends and tourists near and far.

Comrade Nguyen Long Bien requested that all levels, sectors and localities continue to take practical and specific actions to accompany and preserve Cham cultural heritage, preserve and develop the Kate festival in the coming time; raise the scale of organizing propaganda activities, contributing to making the Kate festival of the Cham people in Khanh Hoa province worthy of the scale and value of a national intangible cultural heritage.

According to legend, Po Inư Nưgar is the first Mother Goddess of the Cham people. The Kate festival, in addition to maintaining all cultural elements with traditional values, shows respect and gratitude to the gods, grandparents, and ancestors who created, protected, and sheltered their descendants to be healthy, have a peaceful, prosperous, and happy life; the community's desire to always pray for favorable weather and bountiful harvests, the festival is also associated with the cultural, religious, and spiritual values ​​of the community.
