V-Green Company proposes to invest in charging stations and battery exchange cabinets for electric vehicles

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document assigning the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units and localities to inspect and handle the proposal of V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company (V-Green Company) on the plan to develop a network of electric vehicle charging stations and VinFast electric motorbike battery swap cabinets at public locations in the province.

According to the proposal sent to the Provincial People's Committee, V-Green Company requested permission and approval to develop a plan to renovate and build bus shelters on routes in the province, including building new ones and renovating the existing shelter system into a modern bus shelter complex. The bus shelter integrates many utilities such as: Electric car charging stations and electric motorbike battery exchange; LED screens displaying digital maps, bus route information; vending machines; phone charging stations; free wifi; seats, sun and rain shelters...

V-Green Company has proposed a two-phase implementation roadmap. Accordingly, in October 2025, the company will pilot the survey and installation of electric vehicle charging stations and electric motorbike battery exchange cabinets at key locations, such as: agency headquarters, bus stations, train stations, airports, hospitals, schools, shopping centers, and concentrated residential areas. In November 2025, the installation will be expanded to wards and communes, aiming for a network of electric vehicle charging stations covering the entire province.

Regarding funding, the company commits to investing entirely from socialized sources, not using the state budget. Vingroup /Vinhomes will be the construction unit; the Provincial Traffic Management and Operation Center will supervise the implementation process. Currently, V-Green Company operates more than 150,000 charging stations nationwide, of which 65,000 are for electric cars. By 2030, the company aims to develop 300,000 charging points and electric motorbike battery exchange cabinets, covering the whole country.
