More than 74,000 people were screened for tuberculosis

Since the beginning of the year, Khanh Hoa province has screened more than 74,000 people for tuberculosis (nearly 77% of the plan). Through screening, nearly 1,910 patients with various forms of tuberculosis were detected.

All patients who are detected with TB through screening are admitted for treatment. Currently, the rate of successful treatment of TB patients of all types in the province is over 91%. This figure shows that the work of early detection, management and treatment of TB patients in the province has been effectively implemented, contributing to reducing the source of infection in the community.

In the coming time, Khanh Hoa Health Department will continue to implement TB prevention and control activities such as: Strengthening screening, examination, strengthening supervision, communication and treatment support... The goal is to gradually reduce the number of new cases, towards eliminating TB in the province by 2030.
