Movie by female director Thu Trang premiered on New Year's Day

The film is scheduled to premiere on January 1, 2026. The film opens the 2026 Vietnamese film season, bringing an emotional journey that takes the audience back to the old West - a place filled with rustic beauty and deep humanity.

In "Who loves who loves", Thu Trang takes on two roles at the same time: director and female lead. The female artist surprised everyone with her unusual appearance - a woman with silver hair, a face marked by time and eyes filled with sadness. This is considered a spectacular "transformation" of Thu Trang, far from the familiar image in previous roles. She shared: "This is a project I have cherished for many years, wishing to honor the simple beauty of the West and the sincere love of the people here."

The film brings together a cast including Hong Anh, Vo Dien Gia Huy, Tram Anh, little Le Hao... The first footage impresses with the charming river scene, vast cajuput forests and peaceful rural life. In particular, Thu Trang invested carefully in the restoration of the Western scene in the 1960s, faithfully recreating the rustic yet lyrical atmosphere.

Vo Dien Gia Huy attracted attention when he transformed into a simple village boy, performing for the first time the sweet rowing boat song - a detail considered a typical cultural highlight of the West. He also marked a reunion with Tram Anh after facing off on screen. This time, the couple brought a gentle, romantic color to Thu Trang's character.

"Who loves who" also features Hong Anh in the role of the main character's close sister. The dialogue "If only my parents were still alive, seeing us like this, they would be at peace" concludes the short teaser but is enough to evoke deep emotions.
