In Vietnam, AI is also being used more and more in music and cinema. Director Pham Vinh Khuong released the science fiction film "Shadow of the Wolf" in June. The work was made entirely with AI and smartphones, lasting 3 hours, conveying the message of protecting wild nature, warning about the consequences of physical and biological warfare weapons.
The film tells the story of a genetically mutated wolf with almost human emotions. When discovered by humans, the wolf becomes the target of a genetic modification campaign to create biological weapons. The experimental system fails, creating artificial hybrid wolf creatures that lose control and attack humans. The film is released completely free in 2D format with a soundtrack video on digital platforms. The 3D version will be shown in theaters with surreal hologram technology, and will be screened limited to special guests.
This director also previously shared that he is working on the film project "White Shirt After a White Night" which tells touching stories about the medical profession using AI, scheduled to be released in February 2026, on the occasion of Vietnam Doctors' Day. In addition to Pham Vinh Khuong, director Do Nam also produced a series of episodes for children called "Wonderful Garden", broadcast on YouTube and other online platforms. This is a film that uses AI to support the emotions of pet actors and scenes.

In addition to the above films, AI is also gradually being used by television and film producers in the stages of film music, poster making, data synthesis and customer needs to create ideas and situations. In particular, the TV series "Nang Khuat" by director - Meritorious Artist Nham Minh Hien uses soundtrack songs with melodies and sounds created by AI. The movie "Quy Nhap Trang" also uses AI products as the theme song.
With continuous development and updates, AI is expected to be an increasingly used tool in Vietnamese film production. However, AI does not eliminate creativity or replace humans. Industry insiders believe that AI is just a useful tool that helps reduce time and costs for filmmakers if exploited well.
Mr. Thierry Nguyen - Vice President of Vietnam Cinematography & Animation Association, Founder of AIOI Studios - shared that AI is currently developing but it is difficult to replace humans because it has not yet created unique and distinct human emotions and creative characteristics. This is a support tool and still needs humans to exploit and use it for work.
