On November 7, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training urgently directed secondary schools, high schools, continuing education centers, vocational education and continuing education centers to review the education and propaganda work on the Road Traffic Safety Law for students at educational institutions in the area.
According to the Department of Education and Training, recently, through coordination, the Ho Chi Minh City Police organized actual inspections at schools in the area. The results showed that there are still a few units violating regulations on keeping electric motorbikes and motorbikes of students who are underage or do not have a driver's license.
The Department of Education and Training requests heads of units to seriously implement the following contents: Continue to implement directives from superiors on ensuring order and traffic safety for students at educational institutions; direct increased inspection of parking lots at schools, resolutely not keeping electric motorbikes or motorbikes of students who are not old enough or do not have a driver's license.
Heads of units are directly responsible if schools are found to be keeping electric motorbikes or motorbikes of students who are underage or have not been granted a driver's license.
In addition, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City requires educational institutions to coordinate with local police to organize propaganda for students and parents on the contents related to the Road Traffic Law and the plan of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on implementing Directive 31/2023 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the assurance of order and traffic safety for school-age children in the new situation. Requesting households around schools to commit not to take care of electric motorbikes or motorbikes of students who are underage or do not have a driver's license.
