On November 7, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City International Martial Arts Festival held a press conference to introduce the martial arts event that has been held regularly for the past decade. The festival is organized by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City and the theme of this year's event is "Vietnamese Martial Arts - Connecting Peace ".

The festival took place from November 21 to 23 at Nguyen Hue walking street (Saigon ward, Ho Chi Minh City) with the participation of dozens of international martial arts groups (Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Brazil...) and domestic.

Ho Chi Minh City International Martial Arts Festival contributes to honoring the quintessence of Vietnamese martial arts and promoting the city's image.
This is considered one of the key cultural and sports events of Ho Chi Minh City in 2025, aiming to honor the quintessence of Vietnamese martial arts and promote international exchange through the language of peace and friendship.
The festival is also aimed at promoting the image of a country that loves peace, friendship and integration; and promoting cooperation in the fields of sports, culture and tourism between Vietnam and friends around the world.

In addition to taekwondo, karate, aikido, kendo, judo, wushu, muay, silat..., Vietnamese traditional martial arts such as vovinam, traditional martial arts, Tan Khanh Ba Tra, Tay Son Binh Dinh, Hung Gia, Lion and Dragon... will be performed before a large audience.
Representing the Organizing Committee, Mr. Ly Dai Nghia - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Sports Training and Competition Center - reported on the entire preparation progress. He introduced the key programs of the Festival including competitions, performances, seminars, exhibitions, exchanges and creative communication activities that have been carefully prepared, meeting high professional standards and ready for the festival.

Director Van Trinh, who is responsible for staging the art program, presented the overall design and prototype of the main stage. Accordingly, the multi-layered open stage - multimedia will be the highlight of the festival, harmoniously combining martial arts music, lighting, special effects, performing arts and folk culture elements, creating a space that is both traditional and modern, fully expressing the spirit of "Vietnamese Martial Arts - Connecting Peace".
The 2025 Ho Chi Minh City International Martial Arts Festival is expected to become a unique cultural meeting place, a place for exchange between world martial arts, and at the same time affirm the position of Vietnamese martial arts on the international map.

Through performances, exchanges and competitions, the event promises to not only be a festival for martial arts lovers, but also a symbol of cultural, spiritual and peace connection, contributing to further spreading the image of Ho Chi Minh City - the city for peace - further.

On the occasion of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City International Martial Arts Festival, the departure ceremony of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation from the Southern region to participate in the 33rd SEA Games will also take place on the morning of November 21.
This combination not only shows the pride, continuity and aspiration of Vietnamese sports, but also affirms the determination, solidarity and will to win of today's generation of athletes.
