According to the report, Khanh Hoa province currently has 600 OCOP products meeting 3-star standards or higher, with more than 270 participating entities. In particular, many products have become key local products such as: bird's nest, agarwood, seaweed, fish sauce, grapes, apples, Bau Truc pottery, My Nghiep brocade weaving... In order to exploit the strengths of local products associated with tourism, contributing to increasing the value of agricultural products, craft villages and affirming the Khanh Hoa tourism brand, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has drafted the Project "Developing OCOP products to become tourism ambassadors of Khanh Hoa province in the period 2026-2030". Accordingly, the province will select about 50 typical OCOP products to develop associated with tourism, forming at least 5 points to introduce - experience OCOP - provincial tourism in the areas: Nha Trang, Bac Van Phong, Cam Ranh, Ninh Chu - Mui Dinh, Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh.

In addition, the province will build a digital OCOP map associated with tourism, deploy a QR code system to trace the origin of 100% of participating products; at the same time, apply 3D technology and 360-degree videos to promote products on digital platforms, aiming to turn OCOP products into "digital tourism ambassadors" in the digital transformation era.

The project also sets a target that by 2030, revenue from OCOP products associated with tourism will account for at least 15% of the total OCOP revenue of the whole province; 50% of OCOP products will be available at the system of hotels, resorts, airports and commercial centers; at the same time, rural tourism models - craft villages will be formed, helping tourists directly experience the production process, contributing to increasing income for people.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang emphasized that developing OCOP products to become "tourism ambassadors" is a strategic direction, contributing to promoting the province's image, enhancing the tourism brand and building a sustainable agricultural - tourism - cultural ecosystem. Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to fully absorb comments from departments and branches to complete the project, ensuring feasibility and effectiveness in practice. In particular, each locality strives to have 1 OCOP product display point in a convenient location for traffic, creating inter-regional connections between routes and tourist spots. It is necessary to clarify the capital sources for implementing the project; support mechanisms for people to participate in product display points, in which priority is given to direct, practical and effective support in terms of capital, technology, and packaging to bring quality products to the market; Select unique and characteristic products that other localities do not have, and build a story for each product. The display points must be designed and displayed systematically according to the detailed model in the project, aiming to build OCOP product introduction points into unique and attractive tourist destinations. In addition, the province needs to organize working groups to learn from experiences in localities with effective OCOP models associated with tourism, thereby drawing practical lessons, serving the successful implementation of the project in the coming time.
