Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Y Ngoc congratulated the Party Committee and People of Attapeu province on successfully organizing the 12th Provincial Party Congress. He believed that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Attapeu province will continue to achieve many great achievements, contributing significantly to consolidating the special friendship between the two nations. He informed about the merger and affirmed that Quang Ngai province will continue to inherit the entire traditional, good and profound cooperative relationship between the former Kon Tum province and Attapeu province as a natural continuation of the close affection and attachment between the two localities. Wishing the great friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, as well as the cooperative relationship between Quang Ngai and Attapeu, to grow more and more, forever green, forever sustainable.
In the 2024 - 2025 dry season, the Attapeu Provincial Special Task Force and Team K53 of Quang Ngai Province surveyed, searched and collected 12 martyrs' remains. The results demonstrate the responsibility and deep affection of the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Attapeu Province towards the martyrs of volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who heroically sacrificed for the noble international cause. Entering the 2025 - 2026 dry season, the Quang Ngai Provincial Task Force hopes to continue to receive the valuable attention and support of the Party Committee, government and the Attapeu Provincial Special Task Force so that the search and collection work continues to achieve better results, meeting the aspirations of the Party, State and people of the two countries.
The two sides agreed to sign a memorandum of coordination to carry out the task of searching, collecting, and repatriating martyrs' remains in the 2025-2026 dry season.
