Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam ( BIDV ) is ranked 43rd in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 2025 rankings.
BIDV is the highest ranked bank in the entire Vietnamese banking industry, and is also the leading Vietnamese enterprise in terms of total assets.
This is the second consecutive year that the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 has been announced, inheriting the prestige of global rankings such as Fortune 500, Fortune Global 500, and Fortune Most Admired Companies. This year's ranking selects and evaluates the top 500 enterprises from 7 Southeast Asian countries, including: Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Cambodia, based on revenue, profit, total assets and number of employees.
Among the 76 Vietnamese enterprises participating, BIDV rose to the third position in all industries and led the entire domestic banking industry in revenue, with results exceeding the 6.8 billion USD mark (equivalent to more than 172 trillion VND).
At the same time, with this result, BIDV is currently ranked 11th among banks in Southeast Asia.
Notably, BIDV is also the Vietnamese enterprise with the largest total assets on the list, reaching a scale of over 108 billion USD, ranking 13th in the Southeast Asia region - far surpassing enterprises in the same industry and consolidating its position as a pillar bank in the Vietnamese banking system.
This recognition from Fortune Southeast Asia 500 continues to affirm BIDV's pivotal role in the Vietnamese banking system in particular and its stature on the Southeast Asian business map in general.
