Connecting heritage, tourism and creativity at the Heritage 2025 exhibition

In celebration of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), from November 21-24, at the Hai Phong City Culture, Cinema and Exhibition Center, the exhibition "Cultural heritage, Vietnamese landscapes and traditional handicraft products in 2025" will take place.

The event is organized by the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ) in coordination with the People's Committee of Hai Phong city and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Departments of Culture and Sports of the provinces and cities: Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hue and Da Nang.

The exhibition is organized with rich content, combining display, performance and cultural and artistic exchange.

The general exhibition area introduces a system of documents, artifacts and 300 artistic photos about Vietnam's cultural heritage and scenic spots.

In particular, the exhibition area shows President Ho Chi Minh 's deep concern for national cultural heritage through many precious images and documents about his visits to cultural and natural heritage sites, as well as his and the Party and State leaders' directives on cultural heritage.

The photo exhibition “Vietnam - Land of Heritage” includes three thematic clusters: “Vietnam - Land of miraculous heritages”, “Vietnam - Paradise of world biospheres”, “Vietnam - Land of human memories”.

The thematic exhibition area "Colorful space of Vietnam's intangible cultural heritage" introduces images, documents, and artifacts about typical heritages such as Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, Hue royal court music, Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space, etc.

The highlight is the space of “Hanoi culinary cultural heritage” with the national intangible heritage “Pho Hanoi”. The organizers also introduced the exhibition cluster of Vietnamese calligraphy art past and present; the collection of Ao Dai with the theme “Vietnamese Ao Dai in national cultural heritage” and the art of light sculpture with the collection “Thien Ma - Perfection” to welcome the year 2026.

The art exhibition “Pottery and Tea” brings viewers to a space connecting heritage and life, telling cultural stories through ceramic works while providing a subtle experience of Vietnamese tea culture. Visitors can learn about the craft of making lotus tea from Quang An (Hanoi) through the delicate combination of Tan Cuong green tea with West Lake lotus flowers. The exhibition also displays the photo collection “Heritage Journey 2025”, a collection of award-winning works from the Heritage Photography Award - Heritage Journey 2025.

The space for promoting Vietnam’s rural tourism introduces typical agricultural and community tourism models. OCOP products, handicrafts, village products and regional tourism gifts are introduced, contributing to promoting green tourism and sustainable development.

The exhibition areas of the localities of Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hue, Da Nang and Hai Phong introduce cultural heritage, historical relics, typical landscapes along with traditional handicrafts, cuisine and unique cultural activities.

Quang Ninh province displays images and documents of UNESCO-recognized heritages such as Ha Long Bay, Cat Ba Archipelago, Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son and Kiep Bac relics and landscapes complex; introduces traditional costumes of Dao, Tay and San Chi ethnic groups and typical OCOP products such as squid rolls, fish sauce, dong vermicelli and So flowers. Da Nang city introduces cultural heritage spaces, scenic spots, historical relics, unique festivals and local tourism products and traditional handicrafts.

Throughout the four days of the event, there will be a series of cultural and artistic exchange programs honoring intangible cultural heritages and traditional folk arts. Typical programs include “Shining Colors”, “My Homeland Vietnam”, “Festival of Traditional Folk Art Clubs” with performances of traditional musical instruments, folk dances, and folk songs such as Xam, Ca Tru, Hat Van, Quan Ho, Hat Xoan, Trong Quan, Hat Cheo, Vi Giam, Bai Choi, Ca Hue, Tay Nguyen Gong, Don Ca Tai Tu…

In particular, the parade "Honoring Vietnamese Ao Dai - Journey to spread the beauty of heritage" was a brilliant highlight, gathering a large number of artists, models, union members, women's union members and people of Hai Phong city in a space imbued with Vietnamese identity.

November 21: Exhibition opening (7:30 p.m.).

November 22: Traditional folk art club festival (6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.).

November 23: Street parade "Honoring Vietnamese Ao Dai" (2:00 p.m.); art exchange "Shining colors" (7:30 p.m.).

November 24: Mass art exchange "My homeland Vietnam" (9:00 a.m.); art program introducing the heritage of the Northern Communal House Cultural Space (3:00 p.m.); Summary, closing ceremony and dance exchange program to celebrate the success of the exhibition (7:30 p.m.).
