Announcing the decision to transfer and appoint the Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee

On November 11, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision to transfer and appoint comrade Nguyen Khac Than to join the Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term XX, 2025-2030.

Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, presented the Politburo's decision and flowers to congratulate the new Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Khac Than.

Also attending were Party Central Committee members: Hoang Dang Quang, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; Nguyen Huu Nghia, Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee.

At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Hoang Dang Quang announced the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

The Politburo decided that comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and ceased to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; assigned and appointed him to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 20th term, 2025-2030 term.

Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee gave a speech and assigned tasks.

Speaking at the direction and assignment, on behalf of the Politburo, comrade Le Minh Hung congratulated comrade Nguyen Khac Than on being entrusted with the new responsibility by the Politburo. Comrade Le Minh Hung believes that with his experience as a Provincial Party Secretary, comrade Nguyen Khac Than will strive to excellently complete the assigned tasks.

Comrade Le Minh Hung emphasized: "The Politburo requests comrades in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, leaders at all levels and sectors in the entire Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, sharing, companionship, support and assistance so that comrade Nguyen Khac Than, in his position as Provincial Party Secretary, can focus on leading, directing and successfully implementing the Resolution of the 20th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress. Most importantly, the ultimate goal is to continue to develop Nghe An homeland even more strongly in the coming time. This is the highest requirement of the Politburo when deciding to assign comrade Nguyen Khac Than to hold the position of Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary".

Comrade Nguyen Khac Than gave a speech accepting the assignment.

Speaking on accepting the assignment, comrade Nguyen Khac Than shared: “In the new position entrusted by the Politburo, I promise to make every effort with the highest responsibility for the common development of the province; uphold the Party's leadership principles, uphold the pioneering and exemplary spirit; together with the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, unite, join hands, and unify, constantly innovate thinking and leadership style.

Inheriting and promoting the achievements and valuable experiences of previous generations of leaders, determined to successfully implement the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 20th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030".

The new Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee said that in the immediate future, he will work with the Party Committee to focus on achieving socio-economic success in 2025, ensuring the two-level local government apparatus operates smoothly, effectively and efficiently, creating a solid foundation for Nghe An to develop rapidly, comprehensively and sustainably, commensurate with the local potential and strengths.

Strive to make Nghe An a fairly developed province, a national growth pole in the new era of development, realizing the direction of General Secretary To Lam and Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, worthy of the trust and expectations of the Party Central Committee, Party and State leaders and people of all walks of life in the province with the sacred advice of President Ho Chi Minh for his homeland "Great loyalty, great love".

Comrade Nguyen Khac Than emphasized: "I will be dedicated, devoted, make efforts, devote all my heart to work and contribute and consider Nghe An as my second homeland."

Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee presented flowers to congratulate Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung, Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee (former Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee).

To complete those tasks, comrade Nguyen Khac Than requested and hoped to continue to receive the attention, leadership and direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat; the support and sharing of veteran revolutionaries and former leaders; the effective accompaniment and coordination of the Central ministries, departments and branches for the Party Committee and government of Nghe An province and for him personally.

Comrade Nguyen Khac Than requested the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, departments, branches, sectors, Party committees at all levels, authorities, and all cadres, party members and people of all ethnic groups in the province to continue promoting the revolutionary tradition, the spirit of solidarity, dynamism and creativity; support and help him to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Comrade Nguyen Khac Than was born in 1974, his hometown is Phu Duc commune, Hung Yen province. Before being assigned to hold the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, he held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, term 2021-2026.

Previously, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, ceased to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; was transferred and appointed to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the City Party Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
