The project to build two routes T1 and T2 plays a key role, connecting Long Thanh airport with key traffic routes including National Highway 51 and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway. The project started in July 2023, with a total investment of more than VND 2,630 billion.

Route T1 is the western connecting road, leading from National Highway 51 to Long Thanh airport with a total length of 4.3km.

On the route, there are two important multi-level traffic intersections, including the intersection with National Highway 51 and the intersection with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, helping to increase connectivity and reduce traffic pressure in the airport gateway area.

Route T1 was technically opened to traffic on April 30, creating favorable conditions for connecting to Long Thanh airport. Currently, construction units are urgently completing the remaining items, including the overpass branches at the intersection with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, to ensure the progress of putting the route into synchronous operation.

At the construction site, the overpass branches on the T1 route over Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway have been completed with asphalt. The construction unit is mobilizing maximum manpower and equipment, focusing on completing the final items.

The construction unit simultaneously deployed many items on the T1 route, including completing the overpass branches, asphalting the road surface, planting trees, flowers and grass along both sides of the route as well as at the intersections. The entire project is targeted to be completed in 2025, contributing to completing the infrastructure connecting to Long Thanh airport phase 1.

When the T1 route is put into operation, vehicles from Long Thanh airport can conveniently travel through this route to connect with Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, provincial roads 25B, 25C or Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, contributing to expanding regional connectivity and reducing the load on existing traffic axes.

Route T2 is 3.5km long, connecting from Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway to the end of Route T1, leading directly to Long Thanh Airport. The route is designed with 4 lanes, maximum speed of 100km/h. Currently, the project has reached more than 80% of the construction volume, the units are speeding up the progress to complete in the first quarter of 2026.

Route T2 runs parallel to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, acting as the northern gateway to Long Thanh Airport. The contractor is currently mobilizing maximum manpower and equipment, speeding up construction progress along the entire route. Many sections of the road have been completed, creating favorable conditions for the project to be completed on schedule.

The beginning of the T2 route is a complex intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway and the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, with a complex overpass system.

Thanks to the efforts of contractors, more than 80% of the construction volume at this intersection has been completed, contributing to ensuring the overall progress of the project.

The construction package of lines T1 and T2 has been maintained at a continuous pace, with more than 700 workers divided into 20 teams to speed up the project's completion progress.
