The national cross-country mountain climbing race "Conquering Ba Ra Peak" attracted about 2,000 participants.

On November 11, Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio and Television (DNRTV) coordinated with Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Group to hold a ceremony to announce the organization of 3 major sports tournaments in 2026. Notably, the 31st national mountain cross-country race "Conquering Ba Ra Peak".

Accordingly, in 2026, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee will preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and units inside and outside Dong Nai province to organize 3 large-scale sports tournaments including: the 31st national cross-country mountain climbing race "Conquering Ba Ra peak" in 2026; the 21st Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Cup Children's football tournament in 2026; Dong Nai marathon - Truong Tuoi Group in 2026, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Cup.

Specifically, the 31st national mountain cross-country race "Conquering Ba Ra Peak" in 2026 will be held at Ba Ra Mountain (Phuoc Long Ward, Dong Nai Province) from January 2 to January 6 (official competition on January 4, 2026). The race is expected to have about 2,000 athletes, with the following categories: men's (7.7 km), women's (5.4 km), young men's (6 km), young women's (5.4 km); men's/women's amateur (19 km and 6.1 km).

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Nham, Editor-in-Chief of DNRTV, the 31st national mountain cross-country race "Conquering Ba Ra Peak" in 2026, athletes will not only challenge themselves with runs to conquer the mountain peak with an altitude of 723 m above sea level, but the Organizing Committee will also specially open more content for the movement in the form of trails (mountain running - PV).

"The Organizing Committee believes that trail running - a comprehensive physical activity, combining endurance training with experiencing the natural environment, will create a memorable mark for the 31st season," said Ms. Nham.

In addition, following two successful seasons in 2023 and 2024, the Organizing Committee also announced the 3rd Dong Nai Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group in 2026, competing for the Dong Nai Marathon Cup.

The tournament is expected to be held on November 28-29, 2026 in Binh Phuoc ward with the participation of about 6,000 athletes. The tournament has the following distances: 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, 5 km; children's distance 2 km and companion run 3 km.

Marathon king Hoang Nguyen Thanh and outstanding athlete Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa continue to be the ambassadors of the race. With the message "Running into a new era", in addition to fundraising activities to support victims of Agent Orange, the Organizing Committee also hopes to spread the movement of physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho to join the country in entering a new era - the era of national development.

Along with 2 exciting races, the "Children's Football" tournament is also expected to start in June 2026. This is a playground for children who are passionate about football in 95 communes and wards in Dong Nai province; contributing to nurturing football talents for the province.

Also at the press conference of the national cross-country mountain climbing tournament "Conquering Ba Ra peak", the Organizing Committee informed about the regulations as well as new and attractive points of the 3 tournaments.
