As the national champion, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club has represented Vietnamese women's football to compete in the AFC Champions League for the second consecutive year.

This year, the representative of the city named after Uncle Ho is in group A with Stallion Laguna (Philippines), Lion City Sailors (Singapore) and Melbourne City (Australia).

Ho Chi Minh City women's football overcomes difficulties
The teams compete in a round robin format, with the top two teams in each group and the two third-placed teams with the best records in the three groups advancing to the quarter-finals.
According to the schedule, Coach Kim Chi and her team will play their opening match against Stallion Laguna (November 13), then Lion City Sailors (November 16) and Melbourne City (November 19).
These matches all take place at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC) at 7:00 p.m.
With home ground advantage, Vietnam's number 1 women's team aims to overcome the immediate goal of passing the group stage.

Last year, Ho Chi Minh City FC passed the group stage after winning two matches against Taichung Blue Whale (Chinese Taipei) and Odisha (India) and only lost 0-2 to Urawa Red Diamond Ladies (Japan) in the final match.
In the quarter-finals, the team beat Abu Dhabi Country Club from the UAE 5-4 then lost 0-2 to Wuhan Jiangda Club (China) in the semi-finals.
Although participating in the tournament for the first time, Ho Chi Minh City Club made history for Vietnamese women's football by becoming the first team to enter the round of 4 at the number 1 playground in the continent.
With careful preparation, fans expect Ho Chi Minh City Club will continue to repeat the achievement of reaching the semi-finals or even further.
