Thai Nguyen exceeds 9% of target for social housing development

On the morning of November 11, the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province held a conference to deploy the task of developing social housing in 2025. This is an activity to concretize the major policy of the Party and State on developing social housing, contributing to ensuring social security, creating stable housing for workers and promoting sustainable socio-economic development.

Thai Nguyen province is implementing 9 social housing projects with a scale of more than 8,290 apartments. Of these, 4 projects have been granted construction permits; it is expected that in 2025, 3 projects will be completed, with 1,184 apartments, reaching over 109% of the target assigned by the Prime Minister (1,084 apartments).

According to the roadmap to 2030, the Government assigned Thai Nguyen to complete 24,800 units; in the 2026-2030 period, the province will continue to deploy about 23,700 remaining units, contributing to the implementation of the Project to develop one million social housing units nationwide.

Representatives of enterprises investing in social housing projects spoke at the Conference.

At the Conference, delegates highly appreciated the province's proactiveness and flexibility in reviewing land funds, improving investment procedures, removing difficulties in credit and site clearance. Synchronous policies, along with the active participation of the business community, have contributed to speeding up the progress and improving the quality of projects.

Concluding the Conference, the leaders of the Department of Construction requested investors to uphold their sense of responsibility, focus resources, and strive to complete over 1,000 social housing units in 2025; at the same time, closely coordinate with local authorities and specialized agencies to remove obstacles, especially in site clearance, to ensure progress, quality and investment efficiency...
