
The 100th anniversary of establishment and development is an opportunity for all staff, lecturers, students and alumni of Vietnam University of Fine Arts to look back on the proud journey.
Over the course of a century, the School has trained generations of artists, teachers, and art researchers - many of whom have been awarded the title of People's Artist, Meritorious Artist by the State; and have received the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize for Literature and Arts. Generations of students of the School have continuously created, contributing to enriching artistic life, while spreading aesthetic and humanistic values in society.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Indochina College of Fine Arts - Vietnam University of Fine Arts, the school simultaneously organized 3 events marking important milestones for this journey:
The 100+ exhibition displays typical specialized works by students of the Faculty of Painting, including 3 majors: Lacquer, oil painting and silk. The exhibition opens from October 31 to November 15 at the Museum of the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, 42 Yet Kieu;
Exhibition 100 years of modern Vietnamese fine arts: Collection of Vietnam University of Fine Arts and Vietnam Fine Arts Museum; open from November 14 to 24 at Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc;
International Exhibition of Vietnam University of Fine Arts and Friends: From November 14 to 24 at Art Space of Vietnam University of Fine Arts, 42 Yet Kieu.
On November 15, the 100th Anniversary of Indochina Fine Arts College - Vietnam University of Fine Arts will be held with many meaningful activities. The school will receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and the Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the achievements of the school and of the specialized faculties.
In addition, there are activities to honor generations of artists, teachers, and students; Launching the publication "100-year mark of Indochina University of Fine Arts - Vietnam University of Fine Arts"; Publishing the documentary: Vietnam University of Fine Arts 100-year journey
Information from the School said that attending this Anniversary Ceremony were Ms. Alix Turolla Tardieu, granddaughter of Mr. Victor Tardieu - founder and first Principal of the School; Mr. Arnaullt Fontani, great-grandson of sculptor Evariste Jonchere - second Principal of the Indochina School of Fine Arts.
The anniversary is an occasion for generations of lecturers, students and trainees to gather together to review memorable memories and proud achievements of the education and training career, as well as open up new opportunities for the future development of Vietnamese fine arts in which the Vietnam University of Fine Arts always plays a key role.
