During the months of May and June, like many other gardens in the "capital" of Thanh Ha lychee ( Hai Duong ), the ancient lychee garden of Mr. Thoan's family (in hamlet 2, Tien Kieu village, Thanh Hong commune) is also bustling, welcoming many visitors to visit and experience.

Thanh Ha litchi (Hai Duong) is in peak ripening season.

Ms. Thuy Duong (born in 1993, in Hai Phong ) took advantage of her weekend break to visit this lychee garden. This is the time when local lychees are in season, every tree is laden with fruit. The clusters of fruit stand out among the foliage, plump and hanging down everywhere.

“The first time I came here, I was quite surprised. Around, every house has a very large lychee garden.

Many perennial lychee trees even have branches covered with green moss, and their roots sprout, looking quite strange. In particular, when coming to the garden, visitors can also learn how to distinguish the types of lychees on the market," Ms. Duong shared.

Ms. Duong takes a photo with an ancient lychee tree in the garden.

The young girl described that the ancient lychee trees in the garden were 7-8m tall, with lush foliage stretching forward.

Each tree has dozens of branches, spreading out everywhere, leaning in many directions. The branches do not look too big but are sturdy, visitors can climb up to take pictures and pose for check-in.

After Ms. Duong shared a photo of herself with the old lychee tree online, many netizens left comments, saying that the scene reminded them of the primeval forest in Ta Xua.

"Looking back, I thought it was in Ta Xua, it looks mossy and has a ghostly look, so beautiful"; "The scenery is so impressive, it's hard to believe it was taken in a lychee garden"; "With this, you don't need to go far to have beautiful photos like a miniature primeval forest in Hai Duong"...

Ms. Duong said that the ancient lychee garden welcomes visitors for free. Visitors can enjoy ripe lychees in the garden or buy them as gifts for friends and relatives.

The perennial lychee tree has a wide canopy and many branches growing everywhere. The whole body is covered with green moss.

Sharing with reporters, Mr. Thoan - the garden owner said that in the garden there are about 100 lychee trees with ages from 30 to 50 years old.

In addition to the Thanh Ha litchi variety that is famous throughout the country, the owner also grows egg-shaped and pink litchi. Each type of litchi has a different taste, sweetness, and harvest time.

“Most local gardens grow several types of lychee, harvested from the beginning of the season to the end of the season, from egg-shaped, pink-shaped and finally lychee. The lychee season here lasts 2-3 months,” said Mr. Thoan.

The garden owner does not provide any experience services, but visitors can freely visit, take photos and buy lychees to take home.

According to the garden owner, depending on the time, lychees harvested in the garden are sold at different prices, with a difference of a few thousand to a few tens of thousands of dong.

This year, lychee harvest is good, the output is high, so the price is lower than last year and drops quickly. At the beginning of the season, the most expensive lychee is egg lychee, about 70,000 VND/kg. Next is pink lychee, the price ranges from 25,000-40,000 VND/kg.

Lychee is cheaper, priced at 15,000 VND/kg, compared to grade 1 products.

Mr. Thoan and his wife are busy harvesting lychees.

“Depending on each person’s preferences and tastes, people choose to buy different types of fabric. Prices also vary from year to year.

“Lychee is cheap but is considered to be sweet and fragrant, with thick flesh, no worms at the tip and small seeds. This variety is also divided into type 1 and type 2. The price of type 2 is cheaper than type 1 by a few thousand dong per kilo,” said the garden owner.

Lychee is loved by many people because it is delicious, sweet and fragrant.

It is known that Thanh Ha lychee season lasts until the end of June.

If you come here on this occasion, you can combine visiting some other tourist destinations in the area such as: Dong Ngo Pagoda; Huong River Eco-tourism Area; Dong Man Eco-tourism Area...

In addition, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy delicious lychees and some local dishes and specialties such as green bean cakes, gai cakes, crab cakes, etc.
