According to the song about Ca Mau Cape

Arriving in Ca Mau, the poem by poet Xuan Dieu, which I read in my school textbooks, always resonates in my heart: "My homeland is like a ship / Our ship's bow is there - Ca Mau Cape" (Ca Mau Cape - 1960). And then, upon reaching the Cape after a journey of over 110 km from the peaceful city of Ca Mau, I understand even more deeply the beloved lyrics of musician Hoang Hiep's song "Ca Mau Cape": "You come to my homeland, the coastal land of Ca Mau / Do you see the lush green mangrove forests? / Come visit my distant homeland, Ca Mau Cape…".

The Ca Mau Cape Monument is a popular check-in spot for tourists visiting Ca Mau.

Dat Mui Commune (Ngoc Hien District), the southernmost point of the country, surrounded by the East Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, is the only place in Vietnam where you can watch the sun rise in the east and set in the west... In April, a day of golden sunshine flows like honey across the roads, canals, and rivers, where crowds of people gather. The first citizen we met here – Mr. Vo Thanh (Mui Hamlet) – happily shared: "This is the busiest time of year for tourists. From all over the country…". The salty sea breeze, the wind from the canals, mangrove forests, and nipa palms blow incessantly, making each step of the tourists more joyful and faster. The Mui Ca Mau Cultural and Tourism Park, located within the Mui Ca Mau World Biosphere Reserve recognized by UNESCO, now appears before our eyes…

The red flag flutters atop the "Hanoi Flagpole." A group of officials and students from a school in Hanoi are enthusiastically taking group and individual photos. For Hanoians, encountering the Hanoi Flagpole at the southernmost point of the country is an experience like no other. A sea of flags as dozens of people, all wearing shirts with the national flag and the five-pointed yellow star on their chests, create a stunning scene. Ngoc Phuong, from the far Northwest, was deeply moved: "I once visited the Lung Cu Flagpole (Dong Van - Ha Giang ), the northernmost point of the country… At the foot of the Lung Cu Flagpole, I longed to visit the southernmost point of the country to see the flag fluttering in the wind. Today, my wish has been fulfilled by visiting Ca Mau Cape. Ca Mau Cape has changed so much compared to what we knew from books, newspapers, and films…"

Another group of tourists also came from the North; some were dressed in military uniforms with glittering medals on their chests; others in volunteer youth uniforms or elegant white ao dai dresses… One woman in the group said: “We just returned from Con Dao (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) on a pilgrimage to our roots during the April 30th anniversary. Standing amidst the Ca Mau Cape is truly a happy and joyful experience. Most of us in the group are visiting Ca Mau Cape for the first time…”

Every visitor to this place feels a sense of sacredness and pride: this is the southernmost point of the country – the southernmost land of Mother Vietnam. Each stop evokes emotion in the group. Here is the landmark "Ho Chi Minh Trail, Ca Mau End Point, km 2436," the final section of the Ho Chi Minh Trail from Pac Bo (Cao Bang), passing through 28 provinces and cities to Ca Mau. Then there is the Lac Long Temple, the southernmost point, where countless visitors come to offer incense and pay their respects.

At National GPS Coordinate Marker 0001 - one of the four extreme points marking the sacred sovereignty of Vietnam's mainland territory - and the Ca Mau Cape Monument, shaped like a sailboat at the Cape's coordinates 8°37'30" North latitude and 104°43' East longitude, it's always a must-see destination for any tourist. A visitor from Ho Chi Minh City shared: "Standing here, I feel a special surge of emotion. Before coming here, my family kept reminding me: if you haven't visited these landmarks, you haven't really been to Ca Mau Cape. So when I arrived, even though it was crowded, I had to wait to take a photo…" The visitor's eyes shone with joy that was hard to express in words…

Ca Mau Cape boasts unique, impressive, and meaningful destinations; amidst the vast expanse of sea breezes and lush mangrove forests… Life here is not overly fast-paced or bustling, but rather slow and profound. The people are simple, generous, and sincere. It is this allure that led to Ca Mau's tourism industry welcoming 480,400 visitors in 2024, including many international tourists. This "red address" contributed to Ca Mau welcoming 2.1 million tourists in 2024, generating revenue of 3,080 billion VND…

Leaving Ca Mau after unforgettable moments at the southernmost tip of Vietnam, I truly understand the lyrics: "They say Ca Mau is very far away / At the very end of the map of Vietnam / Don't be afraid of the long journey / Come back to say a few words to each other." Ca Mau is not far, even when you are far from Ca Mau, there will be a day to return because the affection will never fade…
